Dev asked for it not to be leaked so I wont leak it. This is where you get the problem of leaks versus advertising, no leaks seems good but that leads to less discussion and less advertising so less subscribers supporting the title.
Not my title though so I will respect the devs wishes.

Yes, it is not as if there were many waiting anxiously, if it comes out well and if not also, and whoever wants too much should pay.
Seeing the little interest in the game and its previous failure it is very understandable that he wants to stick to anyone who wants to finance it.

Excessive greed and insecurity (in ability to interest patrons in your own game) do not lead to success. Advertising is the engine of commerce, it's strange that someone still doesn't realize these simple truths. The other thing is that Luna Reloaded still doesn't have much content, and dev is giving it away in tiny portions. So with all due respect to his past accomplishments, namely the very good LFFG game, I think that not releasing public versions (apparently he did?) was a mistake on his part.

Also, while I don't know his personal situation regarding work/family etc...the current trend of overlaying a character over a background...I'm sorry, having used Daz for 20 years...he can churn those renders out in a minute or so...he should be doing at least 5 times the current productivity he is....posing and rendering are the time-killers with AVN's....and his current state of rendering is simplicity at its finest. They are the kind of renders AVN devs were churning out 8 years ago...people expect far, far better these days.
if he wants more Patreons, more coverage, more renown etc etc.....he needs to get back to LFFG standards and not this simplist approach that he is currently adopting. I love Luna, always will, but this currently, is a pale, very pale shadow of LFFG. Maybe I'm just another armchair expert but LFFFG...top, top VN with an amazing character. Since then, it really does seem like he is intent on self-sabotaging his own AVN career with everything he has/is doing.

The free version on Itch is the reason I found the dev and became a fan of Luna(fall from grace). It's the reason I supported the dev there. It seems like the dev is so focused on Patreon numbers that they've decided to abandon the Itch page because it hasn't been updated in months. To me this action will only lead to hurting the dev in the long run.
I wonder if the quality drop you speak of is due to the dev wanting to move on from Luna and that plan failing. Not actually wanting to continue Luna's story but realizing that she's who the fans want might hurt motivation. This could be the reason the dev talked about a new vampire game they want to work on.
Or it could be the dev still enjoys Luna but real life issues are forcing the changes you talked about.

Possibly...and has happened before in books/TV/film too etc etc. I think that was the major failing with Diatima...it wasn't Luna...add in the terrible sandbox...2 strikes against (I personally like the character, but the the VN itself, her aside was shocking). He knew this, so the numbers free-falling, wrapped it up quick..back to Luna to gain favour and grace again. However, as said before, this is a long long way away from even being close to LFFG currently.
Vampire game??? Colour me intrigued, not heard about that.

To be honest, the screenshots didn't impress me at all. As for this vampire game in general, the dev on patreon wrote the following about it (the whole post is available only to patrons)

Even Luna's Fall from grace never made that much money at its highest and then it came Diatima who was a flop and now Luna Reloaded simply failed to launch. Maybe because it was a sequel or a sequel of a sequel or simply because this is not lffg, anyway I guess advertising didn't have much success and the dev is just releasing on patreon now. I think the first 4-5 releases were public then he stopped
Nah, man, I understand why you'd think that, but you're way off base on this. The char + static background is maybe less than 5 % of the total pics. The other rendered images are full scenes. I am saying this because I checked and it's pretty easy to find the PNG + background images but there aren't a lot of them. Maybe 100-150 of them in total. Also, if you notice, the background changes slightly from image to image. When you overlay chararacter over static background you use just one or two background image per scene not literally a ton of them. I feel like the issue here is that the dev abuses of the depth of field and most of the backgrounds behind the characters are blurred.

Blew my mind, it's like the old LFFG, so many paths so many choices and a fuckton of hot scenes. I can understand why the updates are short for the simple fact of maintaining continuity in all the paths.
I disagree on the art being off, it is simply amazing and very well done. I was worried they had loss there writing talents when I play Diatima but they have a flair for Luna.
Not having a public release is definitely going to hurt them in my opinion, but Luna and Frozen Synapse are definitely back on there Luna game. I wish they had time for animations but the games that are truly written well like this don't really need them.

Even so there are renders with visible errors, like having an anal plug or a dildo and then in one scene it disappears and in another it reappears, maybe it's an innocent mistake but it leaves one confused.

2 Find a guardsman, in which case Luna will find a guard to interrogate. If you go this route, you'll get a few more options.
A - Kiss her.
B - Don't. I don't want to use her like that.
A Comfort her.
B Don't.
N.B., in order to get the sex scene (lesbian content), you need to pick "Kiss her" and later "Comfort her."
2 Side quest (Arena)
If, in the previous update, Luna decided to participate in the fights, she can continue doing so
There are a few differences depending on how the previous fight ended (if Luna won or not).
Just like last time, Luna can
1 Win the fight - with overwhelming strength. (15 dominance or more.) - in which case she will defeat her opponent.
In case you want Luna to dominate/humiliate her opponent, at the next dialog, pick "Rebut (Warning: analingus)"; otherwise, pick "Stay silent"
2 Win the fight – confuse and distract your enemy. (15 submission or more)
Just like last time, Luna will seduce her opponent (tittyfuck), only to knock him down while he is distracted.
3 Try to win (automatically lose)
As implied, Luna will lose. She will be forced to give her opponent a tittyfuck (some differences with -> Win the fight – confuse and distract your enemy, though the scenes are similar), then
her opponent will sell her top to the highest bidder.
3 Side quest (Tavern)
Luna can decide to keep working at the tavern to repay the debt. Warning: only available for the sub route!
This scene is not very long, mostly for the sake of continuity. One of the customers will ask Luna to work without her top in exchange for money.
