A lot of times when Devs break up a game into multiple episodes is because of size. A lot of places have a 5GB download limits. Yes, you can get around that by changing IP addresses with a VPN. But a lot do not use a VPN. So it is much easier to just limit the size per episode.

There were no important choices in episode 1 that need transfering.

A lot of the decisions were tracked badly and I wanted to change how preferences worked, so there was no need for transferring saves outside of money, which was entirely redundant by the time you finished Episode 1, so resetting it made sense too.

V0.2 Progress Update #2

Renders, renders and more renders. I have so many renders done. Usually when making the game, I'll render and write a scene fairly concurrently. Sometimes I'll do a bunch of renders, then do the writing once I've got most of the renders done or I'll do the opposite and do a bunch of writing and make renders after.

This time though, I've just not been in a writing mood recently, so I've got 4 scenes rendered with absolutely no writing done. Thankfully, the rendering is the slow part, so once I start writing it shouldn't take too long to get all of those scenes finished. A couple are story scenes and a couple are minor scenes for the around the house events.

One of my goals for Episode 2 is to make the world feel much more worth exploring and spending time in. I want there to be loads of content so if the player ever finds themselves without a story scene to continue on a particular timeslot, there's lots of interesting ways to pass the time, rather than just napping or hitting skip time on the map.

As for when V0.2 will be available, I don't currently know. The first beta will be soon, once I've got this writing done, but beyond that I don't know the current update schedule. The reason why being that we're sorting out all our plans for the Spanish wedding ceremony, which means I'll be super busy in the next few weeks, as well as completely MIA for a few days for the ceremony itself.

On top of that, as if that wasn't stressful enough, we've also just reserved a puppy. While extremely exciting, it's also very stressful and until it settles in and calms down and gets some basic training, it will be a big distraction to trying to work. Obviously I'll try and keep to my usual schedule, but if V0.2 is delayed, that will be why!

There's a sexy tiger girl in the middle of an image and this guy's sight is drawn to the possible litter box...

I saw the post earlier and I didn't notice it so I went back to see. I doubt it is a litter box considering it's encased in glass. Maybe the kitty has a pet? Perhaps a snake or iguana.

got a question, does Episode 2 not have an option to change your own name? if you swapped it in episode 1, it gives some continuity errors, it's why I ask. and I haven't found an option yet

It does if you do the intro, I forgot to add it to the skip intro option.

Does the Ipatch not work anymore? I remember early days in the game there was some patched dialogue that made Katie your sister but have not seen any in a long time. Did it all just get removed, so the patch is pointless now?
Have not patched my Steam version in a while though, so it's possible the patch was removed during a Steam update.
