I remember they were talking about a Season 5 but asked their supporters what they'd want it to be... I guess they ultimately decided against a direct continuation (maybe going for a spin-off instead).

Actually, I think saying this is Complete feels slightly premature.

This all supposedly happens in Season 4, right? The current build of Season 4 ends with everyone planning that a final battle with the Overlord would happen at Cordale — students would be evacuated quietly to Dale, the founders would finish the ceremony so the Overlord would be lured to the academy, the academy staff would set up traps and prepare to fight the Overlord together, etc. No such battle is seen, nor is there any kind of aftermath summary. That doesn't sound like it's completed to me, especially when their words say "the final... battle between you and Overlord will decide the fate of Cordale." No such fate has been decided, unless that all happens without the players seeing any of it and only learning about what took place in the next game or whatever.

It honestly feels like one more release to complete the game, a release which might not even have anything more than the final battle itself. Did you get confirmation from one of their dev team specifically that there is no actual coming conclusion release for the game? If this is indeed done, this is one huge letdown, given they were hyping everything up to the final battle... that then gets completely glossed over. :cautious:
I forgot to also mention, Steam list it as the "final season" as well, all signs point to it being done.

The DLCs are gonna be uploaded here?
If someone decides to buy them and share them, if not then no.

One DLC is a small side-story the other DLC is just an asset pack.

I guess we'll see. Calling it "final season" isn't really a good indicator that the season itself is finished, though. That just means this won't have a Season 5. I wasn't expecting more seasons. But like I said, it's a crappy way to end if there's not actually an ending. Good writing doesn't build up a giant cliffhanger and then just completely abandon everything. Since they've said future games would be in the world of this game but it sounds like not really connected to this one otherwise (beyond possible cameos), it wouldn't make sense to pick up at the beginning of another game with what should've been the ending to this one.

My point is that you say "all signs point to it being done". That's one interpretation of what you've read. And you may very well be right, but I believe all signs point to it being almost done, with a possible conclusion to release. I already had let it drop before, though (agree to disagree and all that). The only reason I'm even responding with my 2¢ / 2p really is because of your latest post follow-up.

And that's totally fine. But at least they could try actually to finish the build-up to the final fight with the Overlord instead of getting all the characters to say they were about to do it... and then have the dev team wave goodbye to everyone.

I agree but I guess they took some of the negative feedback they got to heart. Even I felt that a fifth season should be the last. Several folks essentially said that they needed to wrap things up and move on. Hopefully they didn't just cut it short out of hurt feelings or anything.

I think they might end up making a spin-off game set in the same universe that might reference how things ended in the original series or something like that. I doubt they'll completely abandon the world they've built up.

Excuse my ignorance fellows, i just downloaded all the season and when i started playing i noticed the landlord/landlady Patreon bullshit, is there's a family patch or the devs get rid of it in favor of all that woke crap?
'Cause i kind remember it had incest on it before, ( i played it long ago) but i usually wait for this novels to get finished to play the whole deal.
There are no family patches, even the tags is there and i guess it has to be activated but i don't see a choice to rename characters.

This is why the incest tag is back:

I suppose a patch might still exist, although I'm not so sure. I haven't tried to use an i-patch since very early in the game.

Yeah, they should add a disclaimer like with Long Road Home. Well, it was removed of recently but there was a disclaimer that said the "incest is not with the MC", because everyone and their mother kept bitching.

And afaik, there never was an incest patch.

Very possible. I do remember talk about familial relations forever ago, but it might have been either self-defined in the game and later removed, or it could've just been folks complaining. I don't remember for sure, but I'm neutral on incest anyway, so I didn't care enough to worry about it.

The thing that bothers me the most is that none of the relationships with the girls have a proper ending, its all left in the wind as if its supposed to continue in the future but apparently that's not happening, and even the main story doesn't give any conclusions to the story either. As it stands all girls are just someone you happened to bang along the way, there never is any official relationship with any of the girls in the end. I personally wouldn't put this on a ''completed'' tag but ''abandoned'' instead since clearly that's what the dev did, they abandoned the project in favor of a new game, which is sad because the game was good with good and diverse characters but nothing ended up going anywhere

So... your primary complaint is that the MC doesn't get in a committed relationship with any of the girls — something that's been true the entirety of every season of the game — but the game was "good"? Agree to disagree. The dialogue was pretty much lifeless and the fairly unimaginative events (Overlord = Cthulhu; garden angels = Doctor Who weeping angels; etc.) made this a slog to get through. I kept waiting for the quality to improve, but it just stayed the same: season 1 is on par with season 4 in quality. I only kept with it because I don't like leaving playthroughs of games unfinished. I would say the lack of a real conclusion to the overall plot and the lack of individual endings for the LIs only made even worse what already was only slightly above mediocre.

It's fair. The game mechanics are what the draw is, as repetitive as it is, as well as living in a "Harry Potter" porn game. Why you'd expect anything original in what is at best a parody, and at worst a rip-off, is beyond me.

The sex was pretty hot, the girls, too. I wasn't upset I spent my money on Steam for them.

The relationships never finalize because they continue from Season to Season, and they are planned to continue to the next game in the series, set post-school, from what I understand.

The game mechanics are the draw? For some folks, I suppose it's possible. With as many as say they hate sandbox and repetition (just in general, that I see in many, many other threads), I doubt this is a general truth even among those playing this game. More likely, folks playing either don't mind it or are willing to put up with it. This also has a VN version, and I know there are some who do that instead of sandbox. I don't think game mechanics is the draw generally that you claim it to be.

You either misread what I wrote or are jumping to assumptions you shouldn't be. I never said I expected anything original. I try to go into every game, even parodies, with an open mind. And originality doesn't have to be in the form only of specific events or characters. Spaceballs is more than just a knock-off of Star Wars with some other franchises like Alien sprinkled in the mix. It is far more than a copy-paste; this could also have been much more, but it wasn't.
The sex was pretty hot, the girls, too. I wasn't upset I spent my money on Steam for them.
Agree to disagree. Sometimes the sex was decent. At other times, things like bad angles make seeing only a girl's thigh move up and down very unerotic. At best, I would say the sex scenes were a mixed bag. They certainly were better than I myself could render, but that's an abysmally low bar to set.
The relationships never finalize because they continue from Season to Season, and they are planned to continue to the next game in the series, set post-school, from what I understand.
This might be the only fair point you made. However, dragging the same LIs through yet another series of what's likely the same quality as this one is very unappealing to me. I was looking forward to stories, which rarely work when there are no endings to them. I was less bothered by the LIs' not getting endings (primarily a complaint from others in this thread), although I would have much preferred those being given. I was most disappointed with, "So here's the plan we'll use to take care of the Overlord... and we'll just jump forward in time and say that it was handled." Very big letdown to me.

I don't get it, is the dev out of ideas and no longer wants to continue it or does his followers not want him to continue this story? Its not a completed game, the story just ends after the final battle in a nursing bed, no explanations, not an actual ending. Would have been cool to get a harem ending or individual LI endings or anything but this. Sad way to end it if this is the last thing we get, was a pretty cool story and all copying bits of harry potter but still was good enough.

I'm guessing bitn is out of ideas. The ending of season 4 is designed in such a way that they can return to it at any time if they deem it necessary.
Regarding endings with li, I wouldn't mind a similar one with Victoria. But alas, the game is essentially one big harem without any connection to one character. They won't change the entire system of interaction with characters, because the game will have to be redone from season 1.
The concept of the new game was chosen through a vote on Patreon. The game will be in this universe, but with different characters, as I understand it.
In fact, they didn't close the door completely, but considering the quality of what the game turned into later - it's better to have such an ending than to continue milking a half-dead cow.
This is only my opinion regarding the game.

Yeah makes sense, there really was 0 interaction between LI's apart from a few threesomes. Ngl it kinda ruined the plot and harem immersion for me, i skipped through majority of the games from season 2-4. Not a traditional harem game imo.
Atleast i am glad the story is "Over".

I would not even call this a harem game at all, none of the LI's know about each other being involved with the MC or care that the MC bangs anything that moves, this is not harem, its just casual dating with random girls where at the end of it all not a single LI actually has a official relationship with the MC that other girls would know about. There is litterally one girl that even makes note that the MC is a womanizer, that being Alice but even she goes for it. In a harem game at some point all girls involved would get together and decide to share the MC, this never happens in this game. Every girl is treated as a separate dating relationship and somehow they never find out about the MC fooling around with everyone. Basically no impact in choices whatsoever

I agree. The game is more like an inseminator simulator than a mage simulator. I would like the relationship system here to be like in BaDIK, where carefree sex would block the possibility of a relationship with someone. And for the decisions to have at least some meaning.
