I think it basically is the end of the game, yeah. But like I posted earlier, I think it shouldn't be marked as Completed yet. At the end of this latest release, there is very clearly a strategy to handle the Overlord threat... and then there's no final scene (or set of scenes) to show how that threat gets resolved. I would be surprised, even excessively disappointed, if there's not one more release, even if just to show that final outcome.
Played VN mode and the "ending" was definitely rushed, but there were scenes resolving the Overlord threat. Sure it was disappointing but the final outcome was The Overlord came early so strategy was thrown out the window but the allies were kind of helping. There was the reveal about the Overlord and Melissa. The founders summoned an old version of Melissa and she went on to expel the Overlord from her soul with the help of the MC's "touch". Then the MC stepped on the Overlord's spider "body" and kaboom. Off screen the fighting ends with the school winning and someone finding the MC barely alive. Then Arthur basically tells the MC the Overlord threat is over when he regains consciousness.

Well, without reading your spoiler (in case they actually "finish" it with the sandbox version that I played), it sure sounds to me like they have no excuse whatsoever not to conclude it for sandbox in one final release. I don't expect much from it and am sure it will be disappointing like you've described, but since I'm not reading your spoiler JIC, I won't know any specifics until the final release happens... if they don't completely screw over everyone they encouraged to play the sandbox version. I suppose we'll see.

So you are saying that, even though the ending is rushed, it is actually there in VN mode? I actually never played this game in VN mode because when it first started it was only sandbox mode if i remember right so i went with that all the way through, plus on sandbox mode you get some scenes that you can't get in vn mode. And this is probably one VN where i actually enjoyed sandbox mode. Its strange that they screwed over sandbox players if this is true. Can someone confirm this? I only did sandbox and it for sure doesn't feel like the game is over

The DLCs are not story relevant however.
The one for S2 is a quiz with some renders, the one for S3 seems to be some background infos on the characters, again with some renders.
I don't know what the one for S3 is about, but I guess it's something similar.

So was this actually completed or did the devs just decide they were done with it? I know there's still DLC coming, but it doesn't sound like they are going to be anything major.

DLC's don't seem to be related to season 4 in any way it seems, looks like to me that dev just decided to drop the game and make a new game in same universe instead. Some people here say that this new game will continue the story but i really don't see that happening with this game having so many characters that have left stuff unresolved

The first two DLCs were just some bonus stuff and in my eyes total ripoffs, way too expensive. I don't expect the third one to be any different.

1st DLC was extra scenes and renders (outtakes, maybe), but other small things.
2nd DLC was extra content away from school (more scenes at home and in the neighborhood).

Maybe we are talking about different things.
I am talking about the purchaseable Cordale Pack DLC for Season 2, a standalone application which was a
quiz and some renders. That's the first DLC I know about.
The second one I know about is Forbidden Fantasies for S3: Bios, Lustagram pics, diaries.

edit: and dang! I keep forgetting the Wizard's pack for S1, so shift the numbering by 1 :)

I don't get it, is the dev out of ideas and no longer wants to continue it or does his followers not want him to continue this story? Its not a completed game, the story just ends after the final battle in a nursing bed, no explanations, not an actual ending. Would have been cool to get a harem ending or individual LI endings or anything but this. Sad way to end it if this is the last thing we get, was a pretty cool story and all copying bits of harry potter but still was good enough.
As pointed out in the dev logs, they said their next game is set in the "Lust Academy Universe" and not a next season of Lust Academy.

Finished preparing story for the upcoming new game in the Lust Academy universe
Take that how you will, and this is the exact wording they used.

In Lust Academy Final, everything is on the line. The final (or not?) battle between you and Overlord will decide the fate of the Cordale.
If this sounds confusing, then blame the developer for not being more forthcoming if Lust Academy is 100% done or will continue into Season 5 (it doesn't sound like it).

And it is also a DICK MOVE, for only making the DLC Steam only especially to Patreon's
who probably have donated more money than for entire collection is worth on Steam and don't get any of that shit.

and of course some people don't actually download the game, but some third party adware from the download site.
Use download managers to prevent that.
