Hey guys for some reason season3 animations lag badly , the sex scenes are like a slide show...is there anyway to fix that?
im not on a potato pc , pretty sure a rtx 3060 should handle it :/

The graphics card has little to do with it, except for drivers not being compatible to the chosen overlay mode.

1. Try changing the render mode. Either start the game while holding down Shift or start it normally, then press Shift+G. This will bring you to the options where you can choose the mode.
I usually pick ANGLE2, because then my driver won't think that he has to reset something when switchint to full screen.
But try out different ones and see if it does any good.

2. And before someone jumps in and says that Ren'Py does not need video codecs because it uses ffmpeg (yeah, right .... as if ffmpeg didn't require codecs), try to install a video codec pack like this

K-lite is a different kind of codec than the ones used by ffmpeg. It is an addon for the windows directshow api. Because renpy does not use directshow, installing that will not help here.

K-Lite installs ffmpeg and a player that uses ffmpeg by default, come on ...
And yes, it's windows codecs. ffmpeg uses installed codecs. If you use it's Windows version, it uses installed windows codecs. Surprise!!!!!

Renpy will only use the specific ffmpeg that is built into it. Any other version you install will be ignored.

Never said anything against that. But that version will use whatever it can grab, it's the same program after all.
Ren'Py is system dependent, the python runtime is system dependent, it's render modes are system dependent. Why should the video codecs not be.

But if you have a better suggestion to solve a problem with video codecs rather than installing a video pack, be my guest and give that user advice how to do it. Please do so by all means.

I have never had any issues with this, tried the script on every new update and everything seemed to work... can you show which ones that aren't unlocking?

It's a fairly common issue for renpy to decode vp9 video slowly on older cpus. Although the post didn't give any info about the cpu so I'm just guessing about that being the cause.

Ok i found the issue , it was malware , bitcoin miner , if you guys are downloading from mega like me just run a scan before installing.

But no matter what you do, never ever run a .exe file directly downloaded from these sites.

So yesterday, i lost all my data everything on both my laptop and hard drive, i was up to Season 2, do i have to play all of season 2 from the start again now?
