I liked the game so far, the only thing I didn't like was the absence of a quick menu with the "auto" function. How can anyone enjoy so high quality renders and animations when you have to press the left mouse button all the time? So please, please dev or a modder add that feature.

if you're wondering if this game have future NTR/sharing/cuckholding content, I doubt it. They have a separate team that does that type of games under "inceton NTR". the main games do not have those type of kinks.

Are we still doing the dance where we pretend that they do actually have two distinct branches? The difference its one part of the studio is open about it, while the other hides behind backstories, flashbacks, videos, photos, voyeurism that is 'important for the plot' and the 'MC doesn't care yet about her', even though they have the same narrative purpose and are designed to get the same type of reaction as the text book tags you listed.

This , beta spineless MCs that are never proactive in the story and shitty endings that would probably make Daniel K. cream his pants are all they are known for outside of their echo chamber.

Yea, i like it too. Feels like the standard romcom tv serial but thats ok. I don't get the hate for the dev. I did enjoy the Mia series, its the only game i've played by this dev though.
If the game follows the romcom troupe, protagonist will likely mature and develop throughout the series. Fingers crossed.
Also i kinda hoping his ex will return too, regrets her cheating and changed for the better, wanting to make up and reconcile on MC's terms. Noone or hardly anyone has done this kind of redemption character story before so it'll be breath of fresh air.

Acting Lessons has a returning ex after cheating, but I bet there are hundreds more seeing that 'cheating' as MC backstory is one of the most tired and played out trope. Same with rape for LIs

I avoid as much as possible taking into account opinions from the so-called "Reviews".

Many of these opinions come from people who believe they are some Pulitzer Prize jurors.

And somehow I have yet to play a single game from the front page of Top Rated games that wasn't at least good - to great in terms of characters and story, so I say they are pretty accurate on this site, at least in the upper portion of the rating and when the sample pool is large enough(50-100+ reviews)

I prefer to play the game and form my own opinion. My own tastes are the main thing. Not the words from other people.

If you don't have to be selective with your time, thats what everyone should do!

Ok, I was about to get annoyed at the "how does he not recognize his sister" thing, but remembered that he has been away for 10 years. He looks to be in his mid 20s so she would have been a young teenager when he last saw her. He also didn't recognize his childhood friends Jake and Summer at first so it is clear that what they look like in his memories is not what they look like now since they have grown up. Even his mom and aunt don't recognize him.

Ok, I was about to get annoyed at the "how does he not recognize his sister" thing, but remembered that he has been away for 10 years. He looks to be in his mid 20s so she would have been a young teenager when he last saw her. He also didn't recognize his childhood friends Jake and Summer at first so it is clear that what they look like in his memories is not what they look like now since they have grown up. Even his mom and aunt don't recognize him.

Like the mom sure she thinks it's the dad back from the dead (kinda weird) but the aunt is ready to defend the mom with a shoe until she is goes "oh wait you do look just like your dad"

Since he is dead, someone looking the same might give you pause but that doesn't automatically mean you are related. Doppelgangers exist.

It's still a pretty shitty excuse, cuz he could've called at least. With all the technology that's out there, unless you do it on purpose for some reason, the "sorry, couldn't call and was too busy being a spoiled boss's daughter's dumb simp and human dildo to give a shit about y'all" excuse is outdated and complete nonsense. Even with the shitty network infrastructure that's supposedly on the island, he could've at least (video)called and ask them to talk and catch up with each other on skype or something, or he could've occasionally visited his mom and sis and vice-versa, but not having any form of contact with his own damn female relatives and friends for 10y is a pretty shitty, inexcusable thing to do, IMHO.

Porn logic is indeed the best 'excuse' to use in this and any other game made by Inceton, but the MC being mistaken for his dad has also its perks, since both his mom and aunty seemed already interested in his dick, so maybe they can somehow make it up to him in some delicate, seductive way that could be mutually beneficial for all three of them.
