Well, what you're saying is that playing for free promotes the game, leading to people supporting and enjoying it.
If that's what the developers actually want, I'll agree with you.

But do you really think that's what the developers want?

Take the Inceton Games Team, for example they clearly don't want that, which is why they've implemented security measures to prevent piracy.

Your argument just sounds like self-justification for playing the game for free, doesn't it?
look at this poll results from their patreon . if it was not for sites like this they would not be as big as they are rn .

they may not want it but they cant deny that it was good for them .

That's not the point. Even if piracy sites ended up benefiting them, the fact is, they clearly dislike it—otherwise, they wouldn’t have gone out of their way to implement these security measures to prevent illegal copying.
If they truly saw the benefits as a good thing, they wouldn’t have bothered implementing these security measures.

What matters is whether the developers want it or not. The rights to the game belong to them, and if they’re expressing that they don’t want piracy, why justify doing something they’ve explicitly said they dislike?

Think about it the other way around. You can’t deny that they don’t want piracy either. No matter how much they’ve grown, they’re expressing their dislike for illegal distribution through these security measures.

I say this because <I THINK> the ICETON team owes a lot to this site. Look at the picture of the reach of their games here and compare it to the reach of their social media posts, where they have just over 1k followers each. While the reach of their games here is not equivalent to the number of paying members they currently have, I'm pretty sure this site helped a lot in getting those members. My point is that the ICETON team wouldn't be what they are today if it wasn't for this site, and now that they've decided that they "don't need us anymore", and now with the Patreon Whit Login, the most affected will be the members of this site (who they owe the reach to), I just hope others don't start doing the same (although it's obvious they will). Come to think of it, it reminds me of politicians campaigning.

The point is, whether they like it or not, they owe a debt to the people (this pirate site). z9zjv3vrcc781.jpg

Did they ever ask those piracy sites to upload their games for free as a form of promotion?
From the beginning, they never wanted this, nor did they intend to owe anyone anything.
Yet, you’re acting like they owe you something after forcing this situation onto them.
If someone gave you money you didn’t ask for and then claimed, “You owe me now,” would you accept that?
Would you find that reasonable?
Bro, no matter how you look at it, justifying such actions—even on piracy sites—is wrong.
If you’re going to enjoy someone else’s work illegally, shouldn’t you at least feel some shame?

XD bro what kind of stupid person wouldn't want free promotion? "there's no such thing as bad publicity". You act like they have made 0 profit with this site, when the numbers say otherwise. I'm relatively new to this site and don't know much about ICETON and its history, but looking at the numbers I dare say they wouldn't have half the subscribers they have today and it could apply to anyone, as the reach outside of here is very limited. But it's just an opinion, I don't expect to be right either and of course I could be wrong in saying that they wouldn't have half the subscribers they have today.

Bro, If the conversation goes on, it might end up hurting both of our feelings, so I’ll wrap it up here.
I don't intend to argue with you over this. It's just my opinion, and I'm not trying to force my thoughts on you.
Anyway, have a great day

Good job, just patched it myself too. You just need to override one function, and that way it won't error.

Just place zz_patch.rpy in the game folder.

I think i found a way to bypass it but in the most stupid way ever. I basically used Un.rpyc and started the .exe file once. i did this to get the script.rpy file to be visible in the game directory. i tried to use chatgpt in order to bypass it and shit but im not a coder so i didnt get past it. So i took a look at the code and just deleted everything i could see which had anything to do with patreon. With that i started it again and i got hit with a error screen. i clicked skip twice and now i got to the start of the game. I can use the save menu to get around now but i think the main menu is fucked for me. i Think ive bypassed it though. Ive attached the script.rpy file here so maybe someone can take a look at it and make a better solotion.

so this is how i think it should work for you guys.
1.download my script.rpy file.
2. move it into the game folder.3
3. do ignore twice and get to the game.

Lust Bound v0.4.1
Thank you hakulaku97 for posting it. I was able to see the implementation for myself. In the future, our next hero will not only have to provide the files but also decrypt them beforehand. Poor hero. This is not a major or minor version bump, this is a patch version. In addition to the implemented encryption, only one or two mouse clicks have been added in the sandbox. It's not worth the effort to crack anything. It's a game of cat and mouse, as the unren documentation once said. If I find a vulnerability, it will be fixed in the next version. I'm waiting for the final product and you, who can't wait, support the developers.

As far as I can see renpy/script.py has been modified.

please provide a pointing finger for being able to unren this.

don't laugh too soon. The trend will be to encrypt the content and only decrypt it after a check with the manufacturer. A normal hero will not be able to access the decrypted content.

predicted this few pages ago as the "worst" outcome . so basically going forward the person who knows how to bypass this DRM will also have to be the hero since bypassing it will require the auth of of the paying patreon .
