been here for awhile and as a developer of my own story, i tend to take a look at a lot of projects out there just to see what other people are making. I'm also not a fan of censorship so that tends to give me a pretty open mind about the content people tackle and the ways in which they do it.

that being said, this was a weird one. lot of very purposeful choices by the developer:

The Hardcore Softcore?
To make a story that centers around sex, puts characters into a ton of situations in which there is sex, includes violence in the sex, but then purposely censors nudity below the waist is an odd style. that's a pretty intentional choice and if it was done artistically: i'm open to it, but the way the story pushes the sex content into almost every scene, it just really doesn't give that artistic vibe. it screams porn game. what i'm actually wondering is if the developer was having problems matching genital color with the body skin tone (spoiler: you can hide the seam with pubic hair) or if they just didn't want to deal with how annoying positioning of 3D penetration can get so they just avoided showing it. there just appears to be a ton of effort that was put in to avoid showing the actual nudity here and there just has to be a reason for that-- I just wish it was more apparent what that reason is. i guess, because of all the censorship crap lately, you could try to argue the dev is not showing certain aspects to try and comply with recent censorship regulations but the opening scene of the game would flag it anyway. hell, maybe it's just secretly futa and that's the big twist when the camera finally drops. Idk. just an odd stylized choice here that actually intrigues me more than the story does.

The Twink

Couple people mentioned the MC lookin twinky. While the majority of this website is straight, I honestly think having twinky MC or actually spending time making male characters attractive is a good idea. My project centers around gay content and when I started in 2017, there weren't many 3d games in the m/m genre. therefore, lot of gay dudes were stuck playing straight games just because of male protagonists or characters. Today, there's a lot more out there but i still think it's smart for developers to keep in mind that hetero content can still be consumed by non-hetero people, which basically broadens their audience. so spending time making unique looking male characters or catering to a broader audience is just a smart move. It's the same reason that I usually discourage people from having a male MC pov game-- show the dude and you can unlock a bigger audience.

Kinetic Novel
Last point I'm gonna make is I'm actually ok with kinetic novels-- my project is pretty damn kinetic despite having choices throughout the story. The reason I chose kinetic was because it creates more tension than a choice based game. In my story, I lost control of my characters as the writer and that was scary sometimes because i didn't know what was going to happen. that made the tension scenes much more realistic even to me. While i'm working on a revamped version now, the audience had no idea what was going to happen in the story until the last scene of the story-- and that was because they literally couldn't control it through choices or loading old saves or just rolling back. i think that can work for certain stories. whether it ultimately works here or not? who knows. but i'd argue there's a time and place for it. i know it drove my audience crazy when characters they were invested in became a runaway train.

I'm gonna keep an eye on this project-- while i'd never actually support it because of the AI use, I'm seriously curious what decisions the dev makes in the future regarding the style choices since it seems to be a pretty consistently mentioned piece of feedback here. this one was just so odd I have to watch it just because i need developmental closure

Softcore makes me a little nostalgic honesty. But yeah, the tags suggest more than that. I wonder if it's just in the works? Like maybe the dev is building up to the hardcore?

yeaaah, so i had that thought too but there's quite literally a gun to someone's head... i'm not sure how much more hardcore the situation can get to warrant showing somebody's hoohoo:LOL:. and you're right, dev coulda just decided to try and keep it visually nostalgic softcore but include hardcore story elements. that's definitely a style choice and i guess it sorta feels unique in it's own way. guess time will tell if it doesn't get abandoned. seems like heavy visual demos either sink or swim right out the gate.
