Realistically the art change killed this game for some people, and it kinda spiraled from there. No offense to the new art, it's good, it's just... yeah.
The lazy developer killed the game. People loved both artists.
The game had plenty of support after the first artist left and the second was hired. And it would have had much more if the developer showed consistency with updates. The problem was that updates were released so seldom (even though after the change they required mostly pictures) that most people lost any interest and hope that the game would not be abandoned. I think the developer pocketed about 25 000 dollars during that period between when the C3 Final was published and her disappearance.
Chapter 4 has been around the corner for over 1 year now and always will be.)

It's a shame, because I found the sex scene with the artistic change quite exciting, and I thought the project could have an interesting future. But it seems the developer wasn't entirely clear about where they wanted to take the game's story. Many games are trying to emulate the success of EvaKiss, but few come close.

I would love to see someone continue this story somehow even if the characters aren't a 100% recreation. We already have plenty of AI games on here...a Lust Campus inspired game will probably be welcomed with open arms

Thats crazy. I absolutely understand slow development due to the dev having a full-time job taking up most of their working hours, but with that kind of money coming in they could at least take some time off to work on their game. Otherwise what's the point of having the financial backing?

I hadn’t heard anything about this game for a while until I saw new posts in this thread. I’m not surprised by how it ended. Unfortunately, situations like this happen fairly often on this site for various reasons.

I liked the first version when it was released. It was a typical dating sim set in a school environment, with a female main character and some freedom in choices. I preferred the original art style, especially the way the characters were portrayed. In my opinion, it was stronger than the second version, except maybe for a few backgrounds.

I’m not sure why RedLolly stopped working on the game. From what I remember, communication was limited and updates took a long time. The change in art style and the complete reboot likely caused some people, myself included, to lose interest and slowed the project down.

I know the developer officially ended the project after closing Patreon and other accounts. It’s hard to say whether the game had much potential since it never advanced far in either version. The story was fairly simple and content was limited. I think the main draw was the visuals and the overall atmosphere.

I believe she's just a difficult person to work with. One artist quitted and then another artist quitted. I don't buy the talk that the first artist suddenly got disgusted with drawing dicks as it was suggested. If you don't know what is going on, then it is probably about money.

My idea.
Artist Who started the project was also very active in alternative nude modelling.
High probability that that kind of job Is more remunerative.

I agree. Many FMC games are copy paste and they don't offer nothing new, at least this one had something new and interesting. There's only a few of them that are actually good, the rest are bad porno.

I’m not really in the loop on this kind of thing, so it’s hard to say how much truth there is to that. It sounds more like speculation than anything based on real facts. Something might have happened between the original artist and RedLolly, but practical reasons like money, time or concerns about being tied to an adult game seem more likely given how that could affect someone’s career or reputation.

I mention these possibilities because they’re among the most common and reasonable in cases like this. If RedLolly really used that as an official explanation, it feels pretty weak. Maybe it was just the most convenient thing to say at the time, no idea, but it does come off as a bit strange.

Didn’t you mention earlier in this thread that RedLolly had an OnlyFans account or something like that, which was later taken down ? That came to mind when you talked about her career as a nude model. I’m not sure if she’s really pursuing it professionally or if it’s more of a hobby or artistic outlet.

I assume she does a lot of different things in her daily life, and maybe this project either lost her interest or took up too much of her time. From what I remember, she lives in Barcelona where the cost of living is quite high, which could be one reason among others that made her reconsider her priorities. It’s a good thing she eventually shut down her Patreon and officially stopped her game. It was about time.

I’ve also had a hard time finding games featuring a FMC that really satisfy me. It’s usually either romantic fanfiction that’s kind of cheesy and dull with very vanilla content, or on the other hand, games that feel like slut simulators where the character sleeps with just about any guy or gets harassed and raped by anyone.

The writing in those isn’t very interesting either, and when it comes to porn content, you can find better stuff on mainstream platforms. I also find that these games are rarely written in a realistic way or from a female perspective that feels authentic, which hurts their credibility. Too often, the characters come off as clichés designed by and for men. That’s just my take on it.

Yes, female protagonist games written by male Devs are written like men which is no wonder why they are popular. This game is unique in a way that it's made by a woman dev so everything is different. Story, characters and kinks. Not to mention male characters are good looking and shown in every scene. The Dev herself said the game is more made to appeal to female players.
