to answer the gun one recoil on a gun can very depending on which way the gas is venting, but generally yes it goes up not because of recoil but due to the human skeleton mechanical nature, as it is easier for your arms to compress and thus go up when under pressure (recoil), but some guns do recoil downwards or even sideways depending on the attachments and muzzle break. also to the earlier dude the alt fire does work you just have to aim down sight then fire to use it. this game took me 20 minutes to complete minus the talking not work 9.2GB.
The reason her arms are being pushed down is because her hands are too low and she locked her elbows. The force is pushing from the barrel backwards and using the point between her thumb and index finger as a fulcrum, rotating the gun barrel backwards and up. It should be rotating her hand in the same way, but since she's locked her wrist and her elbows, it's translating that force into downward force and pushing her arms down.
In some modern guns part of the exhaust is vented upward from the barrel itself, this sounds counterintuitive to preventing your arms moving downward, but again, if you understand the fulcrum, the gun barrel is being rotated upward which is causing the push on your arms downward, so countering that rotation prevents the arm being pushed down.
Did a lot of edits as I recalled the actual physics.

Don't listen to any of these fakes who talk trash and don't even play the game before they comment, I put a few hours into fully completing this and I can say with absolute certainty that this was the worst game I've ever played why did I do this I feel dumber as a human for having experienced this.
