Hi everyone, I've tried not to get involved here, but I feel like things are getting a little out of hand.
First of all, I guess you all can tell I'm the developer of this game, I've been lurking around this thread since its creation if I recall correctly, getting feedback from it from time to time, I fixed some bugs and changed the direction of some details of the content for the better because of that, so thank you for that.
Now, I want to explain some things, because I understand how frustrating it is to not know the reason behind game development decisions, it happens to me every time Blizzard does something with WoW that I find stupid, and not knowing the reason behind it makes me mad.
When I started to make this game it was kinda like an experiment (it still is, up to some degree), I wanted to make a WoW porn game, and actually, the first idea I had was to make it in RPGmaker, working exactly the way it works right now (point and click) and with Marcus as the main character, the human paladin protagonist of the Steamy Romance novels in WoW, but as I worked more on the game I ended moving to Unity to have more freedom, and decided to make the game more open with both male and female characters.

As you can see in the picture from an old sex scene preview, the game started with balanced content, the male and female characters even had different scenes, not just the same one with a model swap, but as time went on I made things a little more complex, first I started to use an actual 3D model for your character like in the picture, then I added High Elves to the playable races, and finally, I started to make the sex scenes animated.
All of this made everything more time expensive, and as time went on I started to notice more comments from people that were into M/M content, now, I'm a gay man myself, and that probably translated to the quality of the non-gay scenes, and maybe that caused a higher amount of people that liked M/M content to support the game. Whatever it was, I decided to make a poll to see what my audience wanted more, and an overwhelming majority of people wanted to play as a male character, and wanted M/M content, like...

I was very happy about that because sometimes it was kinda dreadful to write straight scenes, although the worst ones were the lesbian ones, there was absolutely nothing I could focus on to get at least a little turned on while writing the scenes (it helps me to get more into the scene). So, I made a statement telling patrons that I would start to shift the content more towards M/M, I didn't want to ditch straight content entirely (I still don't want to), not necessarily because of money, given that most people that are already paying wanted M/M, but because I know how it feels to play a porn game that seems to have both gay and straight content, and then see how through time gay content completely disappears, so I want to still add some of it from time to time.
Now, I understand the frustration with this for some of you, especially because the posts where I talked about this are not posted here or public on Patreon, so most of you are in the dark when it comes to why I made this change through time.
As I said I want to keep adding straight content, and I've been trying to find ways of making it faster so it doesn't take too much time from the M/M content, what I can tell you is that whatever straight content comes in the future it won't have the same quality as the M/M, I've been thinking about things like reusing animations from other scenes, but changing the perspective of the scene so it doesn't look exactly the same, I tested this with Jane in the Explorer's Camp in Stranglethorn, reusing the poses from the sex scenes with Anetta in the Northshire Abbey for the male character and the pose from the scene with the female bandit in Goldshire I think it was for the female character.
The two main things that take me more time than anything else are animating your 3D character for the scenes (the 2D part of it is fast) and writing the scenes, so if I can reuse animations and text for the straight scenes, changing details, I could have more content like that, but again, less quality.
Now I wanted to take this chance and clarify some things that I've read around here:
The Redridge Academy is something I wanted to do to try and make a graphic novel, I like experimenting in this game by doing things like mini-games, because it helps me learn more about making games in general, so it can feel that comes out of nowhere, you shouldn't look at it from the perspective that you are a superhero that defeated things like Hakkar and now you are getting bullied by just a dude, the zone is kinda isolated from other zones, and even has a unique UI, take it as a game within the game.
This zone was voted to go first before the next ''normal'' zone, The Burning Steppes, with orcs everywhere, so I guess people wanted this more, and then another thing is that the main idea I had for Zack was to make him feel like a proper bully, he appears randomly and you can't escape from him, so if you are lucky one day you won't find him, then in a future version you can make him your bitch using a bimbo potion and get your revenge if you want, this is one thing I changed in the last version because many people asked me to, so now you can choose to escape from him and you won't get more submissive. Again, you defeat many foes in the game, yes, but this is kind of an isolated fantasy or kink.
The reason why there are more submissive/bottom scenes in the game, a big part of it is because that way I can reuse them for the female character and add the straight scenes, and another part is that I personally tilt more toward that kind of thing, so I tend to come up with more of those scenes, same reason why I don't tend to add too many hairy characters, because is not really my thing, although I try to keep that in mind when planning content.
The character Lee at the gym and that entire version with his romance story is not an official/paid crossover with GYEE, the mobile game he comes from, I just played the game back in the day and I found that character hot, so I decided to make a WoW version of him, like most things in the game I just make them because I find them hot xD like the scenes with Milo and Tarzan in Stranglethorn, that came out of me watching a sex animation of them made by Mr. Xtoon, plain and simple, there are no conspiracies, I'm not making deals behind the scene with companies for crossovers, I just see something that turns me on a lot, making me think about it all day and I decide to make a WoW version of it, the same thing happened with the horse dude in the last version, I was turned on by the horse guy in the comic ''May the best man win'' by SigmaX, and I just thought...wouldn't be cool to try and make a race like that?
I'm probably missing something else, but this is it, sorry for the wall of text, but I've seen a lot of fighting around here and I wanted to clear some stuff, I hope this will help to at least keep things a little more peaceful, and for the straight guys here, I understand why you are frustrated, I'm not doing this to upset anyone, or doing it in bad faith, I'm just trying to focus on doing the content I like for as long as I'm able to, so I would recommend you looking at this game as a mostly M/M game with some straight content sprinkled on top of it, actually I should update the description page in Patreon...
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
