You're not seeing a tag? Are you sure?
Yeah that particular tag isn't mentioned in the genre list on the first page of this thread. I just want to check before I get back into it because I like to play a creators original idea instead of a watered down version he was forced to do for marketability.

Ah, that's where you're looking. I was referring to the thread tags.

I think no one bothers keeping the first post up-to-date with all tags, since the thread header already has them all. You'll notice incest is not the only one missing.

Just wondering how do you knock up the whole party
When you first hear about it, you're given a choice to go, not go, or go but dispose of the guys. The last choice is what leads to it, with the mechanics explained in the game. You just need to opt to drug the guys/dispose of them, and then stay on the path to attend and not block the party. Mechanics outline in the spoiler.

How the hell is there such a discrepancy in the story vs the skills he knows? Where the fuck does he get a stupid mind attack when the entire game says in the beginning his skill is fire? That is totally fucked up and how the hell did that get past everyone?

If you're talking about the story that Klaus weaves during the opening, I'd have to actually pay attention to that again, but it's Klaus spinning a story, and the narrative point there being that a house did burn down, not that your main character did it. If we take the 'real' start of the game to be after that story, then the game opens with him claiming to be good at illusions (and he is). But his family is 'into something more sinister' (pretty sure that's from the tutorial phase when Asara says it). Later on we find out what the family is into. If I recall it all correctly, all of his starter skills make sense (canonically).

(You may be mixing this up with Inanna or something which does open with the first skill class being fire.)

He even states it that he is only good with illusion and fire spells all through out the entire story so he will be good with the rats.. but than you find out he knows no fire spell at all. Major discrepancy there.

1. Primary starter story
2.. When he is asked to create the talismans
3. When he first joins Asara to fight rats

It's not once but all through out the story I noticed this as I started from scratch. When do we even get a chance to learn fire magic when it's suppose to be our speciality?

I spent a bit of time reading through the dialogue of the game (dumped the rpa files and ran a search). I can't find where he claims to be good at fire. He makes claims about illusion magic. There may be something in a translation (I only checked the English), but I doubt it.

I remember a couple instances of fire coming up early:
  • Asara calls him out in the sewers: 'wish you knew some fire spells!' I'm fairly sure this is before Mia can train you. I suspect Asara is the one who made a comment about being good with fireballs. (I found this line when looking through.) This line more or less confirms that he can't cast fire spells (in combat) by that stage. Gallu comments (later) also sort of hammer that point home.
  • I also remember 'Fast Food Wizard' thing where he uses 'real magic', though I don't know if it was an illusion or real fire. (He is an illusionist.) Either way, what he shows is not exactly a useful combat skill.
The other thing is that the story does make it clear that knowing how to use a spell isn't the same as being able to use it in combat. You only get the ability to use invisibility in combat after a certain point in the story, you can't use it before, despite obviously being able to use it. The lore seems to be that you need to have mastery to use it in combat, not just know it.

(The thing that put me off playing this game about six times was the opening story; once I got a couple of days post tutorial that went away and I was fine with it all.)

After some time in netherworld i see that travel needs upgrade. My character is absurdaly long in one point and dont move to target. Even more one hard combat with spirit of teddy bear is little too much. I dont know why he got full hp even if he didnt damage me (illusion spell and miss). Still map is very dark and i appreciate it. Has ambience, style and i want explore it. Shame it is so hard to traverse.

You can hold ctrl to make it a bit faster

Click the clock if that happens. There do appear to be some minor bugs where you can get stuck, but I'm guessing some of those will be addressed in 0.50.

Right-click skip and it'll jump you to either combat, where you marked, or when the point of interest pops up.

Thanks for advice but i used these methods and my icon moved one or two pixels forward then stuck again. In city and at the end of crystal forest it happens near all times. Its ony one thing that break immersion.

Whenever you discover a point of interest it pauses so you can reset your path. I've found resetting the path to break more often than not, so I just click the clock to proceed to my original destination. Then I double click on the point of interest (again, UI/input issue makes me need to click more than I think is intended), then click the clock again.

The right-click to skip only works when you're in motion, but it can save a huge amount of time for longer movements.

My workaround when I was trying a different branch of the story was to turn off the battle minigame before going in, and then finding all of the points of interest. I figure I could grind levels on Bernie later if/when it matters.

In terms of exploring, I like the underworld more than the rat dungeon, but I find the rat dungeon works well, and the underworld is clearly bumping up against Ren'Py related limitations. The worst is when the game somehow says 'you're near a point of interest' and then launches into dialogue with the map up, and I'm forced to rollback to recover from it breaking. I don't know how to replicate it in a way that'd be helpful for the developer.
