Good luck with the game development! I am not sure if the planned tags will cause problems with Patreon, but only time will tell.
They will. Arcadian who made corrupted kingdom got removed because his games has minors. They aren't sexualized in anyway at all. They're simply in the game, but that was enough for them to remove the game. Patreon is just trying to get rid of pornography from their site and know to flat out ban it will cause a backlash

If it's true then even really big games will go down from Patreon

Well I hope that isn't the case. I can understand them wanting to tighten up the image, but if they go too far, Patreon will also be the one that is losing a portion of its income. I just don't know how big of a portion it is.

^ If that happens, is the only other alternative Subscribestar?

It would be better to start to modify the stuff Patreon doesn't allow, because SubscribeStar isn't really an alternative imo. Also I've heard it takes up to months to open your page there
well guys you should know that things like mind control don't please patreon either, if you guys want to make a different game ok but it doesn't guarantee anything either, a few days ago they closed the patreon account of a really big dev and his content was theoretically censored . SS may not be the easiest option but at the moment it is the best.

I would definitely say to look for some kind of alternative to Patreon rather than sanitizing anything that could make the game interesting. Patreon is just going to keep adding new, stricter rules that will inevitably hit everything. It's gotten so absurd that even pregnancy isn't allowed in games because it results in the existence of minors. That's just ridiculous.

You can still keep the current Patreon page up as a stopgap, since it tends to take them a while to actually notice and shut down any given game. Some relatively large games have been up for like 5 years without getting banned, including ones that don't even try to hide stuff like incest. But start getting an alternative ready, because I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the day comes soon that Patreon just bans porn altogether like so many other sites have.

Going back to corrupted kingdoms. The reason Arcadian jumped ship is because in order to get back to patreon. He would've had to take a hatchet to the vast majority of the story and characters. And a lot of people would've 100% stopped supporting him if that happened. He didn't want to do that, since they would come back at him with something else later.

All I'm saying is that when it comes to adult games, patreon is slowly but surely become less usable. And will likely no longer be feasible eventually. Best have fall backs ready

It doesn't matter to them anymore. All of their biggest creators are SFW now, it's not the same era where DarkCookie was basically their biggest single revenue source/advertiser. There are a ton of mainstream podcasts/video essayists that use the site now and it occupies a totally different place in the zeitgeist. The day they do pull the plug, it's not gonna be a tumblr or OnlyFans situation (before they retracted their decision after a day lol).

The best we can hope for is the day they go full bore against adult creators, they have a bad quarter and it slows their future growth a bit.
