I don't hate him, nor the red head, but Damien is just kind of there being all passive and annoying, litro 4th wheeling at this point trying to get involved but failing every time, Krixus clearly wants to get closer to us but just obeys instead which is kind of a turn off, him not having a voice of his own and needing permission

Only by technicality, I'd say. It's easier to clean because you just... don't have to clean the foreskin that way. Cleaning the foreskin isn't hard though, and there are some minor benefits to having it. Circumcision doesn't have any major affects for most people, so the question is just... why? It has no significant benefits, it's irreversible, and (this is the big one) it's often done to children before they can possibly consent to it.
It also opens up a lot of questions, from a worldbuilding perspective. Why is this oddly specific thing from the real world in the far-flung future where Earth was destroyed a long time ago? Is Christianity still around? Is there a new religion that does this? Is it done to adults, with consent, or is it still done to babies? Is it just a rare medical procedure? Do they not have any better options with all of their advanced technology? Maybe it's a cheap alternative to the more advanced stuff?
Of course, the real reason is probably that a Patron asked for it, and just wanted it in the game regardless of what it means for the setting.

I couldn't agree more.
It's just another "modern self-insert" - even for those with "Circumcision" fetish, it's not a good way to include it.
Another point on the graph that LO dev would do anything for money, sacrificing game lore and integrity.
BTW, Circumcision is not "mutilating men". And there are more context to it in those religions. (Not saying they are right)
But since the LO dev is doing everything for money, you shouldn't take anything he puts into the game seriously.
