rylan is your conventionally attractive scruffy man that alot of people who got interested in this game like. though i dont care for him as much but the people on the patreon like him and arthur alot. I just want more...y'know monstrous alien men...especially bradley.

It's pretty simple. The dev has lost the drive to Make a "Unique and Great game", but rather just make Money. (Apparently he's good at making money)
So anything he does is the "Safe" option with most money he can get:
Rylan is the most "Safe" option cuz there's nothing stands out about him, (In return nothing about him is memorable)
Patroen votes is the "Safe" option cuz there're people paying for such contents, (In return it lost the unique identity of a Space Alien game)
"Plots all over the place" is the "Safe" Approach, cuz it has a bit of everything, (In return nothing really progressing in an immersive way)
Less and Less "weird alien sex" is "safe", cuz that weirds people out, (In return we get "Human-reskin" in space like 99% other space game)
