If you get out of touch with your audience don't you lose the people paying you to make the game? I know we aren't contributing there but for the patrons that pay them, if they become disinterested due to odd decisions by the devs, the devs lose their cash stream...so that point of view just isn't realistic. Everyone wants true artistic freedom, but this isn't some fan game that they work on in their spare time, this is a product they are selling which means it is absolutely open to criticism and the consumers should absolutely let them know if they do not like it. Does that mean the dev is gonna retcon stuff? Probably not but still.Well, to me any content the devs want to add should not depend just on the audience. Any content is good. As long as there is a realization that not everything is going to be liked by everyone and there is a way to avoid certain fetishes.
