Dev took 2 years to see he do not like the style of the writer.took the decision in the final phase.too slow to perceive things.too much vodka in ibiza.
Maybe it was an excuse to delay development because Lust Theory is his "chicken of the golden eggs" now. Only this one and Mia have been successful. All the others were/are kinda flop. When this one's over, what will be left? Lust Bound?

Think the same.after lt3 the drop of patrons will be high.maybe resort of temptation could be good, would be better if the focus was only LT girls and mia but they had the good idea to cast all girls, even the flop ones.

Nah, he's the one who was pushing for a Christmas deadline and even cited the writer's inability to deliver rushed slop as an excuse for firing. The game wasn't in any rush otherwise and Embercat had much more development in mind that he had to scrap/cut short.

If anything disingenuous is going on it'd be to avoid paying him since I'm positive they get bonuses for stuff like project completion etc. But I don't think it's that either. There's no reason to doubt his stated reasons. He just genuinely took 2 years to check on the story and realize he didn't like the style and well, acted out of pocket.

Yeah... Not paying might be an issue, as I'm wondering where all that money comes from... His only has ~1500 paying members, and there's an estimated revenue of $4k to $11k... In some countries, this would be a good income for one person, but not enough to run a business... Does Steam become more profitable than Patreon?

He has many high tier patrons who pays 25 to 50 dollars.his best games LT1 and lt2 sold very well according with gamalytic and vginsights with profit of 1 millions dollars.Furthermore in eastern european countries the cost of living is much cheaper than western european countries.

From what I've been told, devs make the most money from Steam not Patreon as a general rule and it seems to hold up here as they clearly see the Steam Release as the big thing they're gearing towards, to the point that the game is supposed to receive a coat of polish after it's wrapped before they put it there.

Lust Bound was very promising, but now that its writer has been fired... I don't trust Lancelot tastes in continuing it.

Let's expect aliens giving MC the superpower of cloning himself and fuckfest the whole island... But only using Lust Time...

I think Embercat’s mentioned as well that because the focus was on LT, he’s got at most a story outline for LB.

I really hope LB ends up in good hands, it’s got so much potential.

My two cents is that they should probably hand the project over to the guy who writes Undercover with Nora. He seems to know what he's doing. But they do have a couple of good writers in there, the Mia games had three writers (I can only imagine why, considering the current situation...)

Nora is also written well I agree.

I also think Rei’s work on Resort of Temptation is also quite good, albeit NTR is a separate beast entirely.

When they have a good writer then the story can be really good.

If you’ve got a bad writer, then you get what happened with Shackbang or Thot on Trial.
