Mhh... that cheat mode doesn't change existing code, as far as I know.
If you only have .rpa files it means you haven't extracted the code from the archive files, so you should not be able to modify it.
Nonetheless that error « Exception: Sayer 'ca' is not defined. » definitely means that in your source code the line
default ca = Character("???", who_color="#7c23b0")#Carol is missing, but is not missing from my source code.

Chances are you download is corrupted.

Do you have a savegame just before that exception occurred? If so, try to download the game again and load from that savegame without making any modification (not even the cheat mode, also I doubt that can be the problem, since I have added it to my game and gives me no problem) and see if the exception persist.

Sadly i didn't work out. Downloaded again. Loaded one of the old Saves from August. Still the same Error.
But i checked. The script.rpy is now. And the Source Code Line is in it.


EDIT: Well. That was strange. I've loaded another, even older Save and skipped. Got a different Error after a few Sec. . Ignored. But after that it seems to work now. Carol is alive now.

Strange... Since it depends on the savegame you use, I guess it could be a problem of backward compatibility of the savegame you used... But that exception «ca not defined» is clearly provoked by the missing of that line of code

Also, can you provide here the savegame causing the «ca not defined» exception?

That's curious: loading from your savegame in my installation gives me the same exception it gives to you, while loading from my previous savegames I reached the same point in the story and I made the savegame I attach here, and loading from this savegame the exception does not occur.

At this point one thing is sure: the problem was in your savegame. I have no idea why, but possibly you saved it with an old buggy release, I guess...

Anyway, since my savegames has never given me any problems, I suggest you load from my savegame here attached to start from a "clean" savegame.

It's still buggy… but playable. In the end, however, there are severe bugs that can only be overcome with the console.

I'm saving a lot, yes.
Mostly because of many Games still can't get their Save Compatibility right.
But i also delete most of the old Saves after a current Playsession / Update.
I'm just to lazy to go back to Page 1 everytime, so i keep going. And that's why i end up in the high Numbers.

I don't think inflation has anything to do with it. The prices are set by the Dev. He chose that price. Trying to one up Being A DIK's Season 2 price by adding an extra $5
