Every season is a distinct download, playable separatly. But there are no 'updates', you always have to download the entire season.

If there's no hints for anyone then you're done with the update. There is a hidden event this update if you haven't done it yet, but otherwise you're done.

For split files - depending on the format - use UnRAR/WinRAR or 7z on file 1. They will read the other files automatically.
