How to discuss barrel previous visite? I even got him to go upstairs in the tavern but this option never pops up

Okay so alot of people have an issue with it since to get actual break in scene is abit of hard to know about, in order to get that scene you need to participate in Wrestling at the fair, and get a chance to pair up against Barrel, and you will have a choice to win agains him or to let him win ( not sure if the outcome will change what comes next or not but I decided to win ) and after that Barrel suggest rematch at your house and you can invite him for a wresling at you housein bed , and after you done with it, there is a chance that at night Barrel might break in at night while you asleep and do stuff, and you can have a talk with him about it later, and after you talk with him about it he will be available to invite on fair for firewarks event.
Alot of people got wrong idea of him visiting you at night is him breaking in, but that isjust his visit and not actual break in moment
Well Hyao slowly trying to interpite more romantic moments, like Everett first heart scene or recent Rhot and Barrel heart scenes that doesnt include any sex and more romantic driven, it just abit on a low end since people expect more hot moments and sometimes can complain or find those romantic options are not worth their time and complain about it, especialy when its characters that they are not interest about.
But it deffinitely on more rising tragectory

Because that's not how "Romantic" works. Being "Romantic" doesn't mean "Intimate but no Sex".
The "Hand-holding >> Shy Kiss >> Shy Fuck" approach only works on people who's not open to you yet (while Allergic to sex), so you build up intimacy / connection then they finally opens up.
But for anyone who's already fucking you? This approach feels ridiculous, like some virgin wants to write a romance story but turns out cringe.
It should be "sex with more passion", "intimate moment after fuck"(compare to where he would kick you out right after sex), or "a proper event with foreplay / aftercare than just a fuck".
Not realy when character is ment to be emotionaly closed off character, but open in regard physical activities like Rhot for example, who are enjoy physical action with a player, but the emotional side of him is a new thing for him so his expression of it would be awkward, same for Barrel who wasnt realy either think about more deeper proper connection with something beside simple fucking that not involve actual emotions, that can actualy happened in real life when people experience physical aspect of relationship long before they have any kind of emotional experience with their partner, the whole Shyness and stuff are indicator of someone who are inexperice in regards to the feeling so people tent to fumble in confusion about what they feel and what they want, and passion is more deep level of investments and desire, you cannot be passionate while being confused about what you feel and experience
Imma be real, really I just want Rhot to invite us to his tent or his sleeping quarters or wtv already. He's gone to MC's chamber plenty of times yet everything we do is always MC's initiative. They even play with the idea of visiting with Xeroth, which is a shame we still haven't gotten.
As romance goes, Rhot's awkwardness makes total sense, considering:
1. Before MC he had never even interacted with a human before, much less been intimate with one and there's still obviously a species barrier between them even if they've been doing naughtiness for a while.
2. He hasn't fully processed his feelings for MC
3. He's too prideful when it comes to his position, yet often acts like a child
4. There's obvious tension between what him and MC have vs MC's relationship with the other lizards, which we see especially if we romance Roushk
We still get scenes that are more tender between them, most notably at the fair (and recent update) and also before, during, and after sex if you choose it to be.
In the case of Barrel, I think his awkwardness really comes out of left field....
Barrel has long been established to be very shameless, self-centered, overly confident, and prone to all kinds of debauchery
Most if not all of his interactions with MC have been in the purely nasty side in either route, if he were to catch actual feelings for MC I see it as OOC for him to express that like a teenager who's having his first crush, instead of just openly wanting to spend more time with MC and generally being nicer to him.

That's why I said it's just a "Concerning Trend", like IIRC every recent affection addition end up being a shy-kiss.
This works in some cases, but not in the other.
Like the Barrel one IMO is super reaching and artificial.

The last two artwork were added relatively recently. I think they were one of the earlier enemies in the early zones and had no art in almost forever. Probably why nobody really thinks of them until they got the nice art.
