Game litro being milked, it's utter crap now
It's really weird how there's all these questlines they could be expanding instead, including finalizing Black Wolf (which is damn near complete, I'll point out) and expanding the Blessing of Lust, and they just immediately swerve into a new completely unrelated story arc focusing on desert crocs...based on a single encounter in the Black Wolf storyline that was more for the sake of comedy than anything else. Instead of just, y'know, waiting until Black Wolf was done before doing something new and combining it with the current ongoing story arcs rather than just making every update one thing or the other.
That's the big issue with these games - too damn often the devs just get obsessed with putting in as many ideas as they can or they get sick of working on one thing so they start adding in other stuff they feel more 'inspired' by, and before you know it the game is just filled with dozens of quietly dropped storylines and unresolved quests. Shit is genuinely maddening.

When the dev wanted to explore more lizard kink, he could rather bring the story back into Lizard tribe (which is also in limbo now), when he wanted to ad new tribe it could have been rather Arion´s tribe of ipotanes... instead of this "Lizard tribe 2.0"...

Kind of have to agree with this. I think this is one of the game's biggest weaknesses, there's so much that's been left as WIP for years now and there's never really an indication of where the development will be focused on next, so a subplot you might be interested in will just be stuck in limbo forever, losing any kind of steam or enthusiasm it had behind it. I am sympathetic to the dev team because there's been quite a lot of bumps along the way (artists quitting and changing, writing blocs and personal issues), but there's definitely got to be a more organised way to deal with the dozens of plot threads.
Like off the top of my head, aside from the biggest storylines like the Orc war and the Northcrest conspiracy, there's the Mythshore story (what exactly happened with the lord family there, what happened to the two survivors after they've left the town), the panda-hog-bear island stories (Sabal's area got some attention recently, but the guild story and the crossover event are still WIP, and outside of Hugo none of the characters have any scenes or development), the junkyard ruins with Tao, the Yeti and the ruined mounain village, the Hissh/Grushk story, the Emmerine Golem/Father story with Ruben, not to mention the many guest characters, which I realise is mostly out of Hyao's hands, but the majority of them haven't got any new scenes for several years.
All that being said, I still enjoy the game and I am hopeful about its direction, and whenever Hyao does get around to writing a larger update it's more often a hit than a miss. But I'll admit I am getting progressively crankier recently because we've been getting what feels like mostly just Maul content for like a year now, especially when making up for a shorter main update, and I hate basically everything about this character.
Don't forget out jungle kitty with anger management issues and his hidden maybe/maybe not dead village and our ability to look into the past and talk to ghost. Also how whenever they do a perspective change Nevar is literally standing in place with a blank stare because he's actually experiencing those events as if it was him and how he just casually forgets it but has some snippets of those memories. Like there's SO many shit going on and none are ever finished! Hell we've never even finished the goddamn lizard story or the whole our mentor just disappearing. For those who don't know the first 3 major plot points were, in order, our mentor dissapering, the werewolves and the lizard tribe
Cooling potion. It you need to talk to ombre, from there you gather the ingredients, and one of them is from the yeti.
If you need the ingredients:
Pulp(blue)
Cactus
Mountain Water
Snowdome Flower
Water Moss
You should be able to get these through the cheat menu if your lazy like me.
Edit: if you havent gotten to agate village yet, you need to explore the dessert a bit more until you meet a green croc.
I really like this game, but it annoys me that even though I set it as straight, about 75% of the game is homosexual and to be honest, I'm not into men. And yes, some of you will probably say that then I can just stop playing it. So maybe I should play as a woman instead?? Now that we're on the subject of women, I can't see the ones I'm fighting as female bandits and lizards. I could in the previous versions. Sorry if I upset anyone, it's not my intention with this text.

First you need to unlock the desert if you haven't already by doing Vadir's trip to Mag Darhal. And then you'll need to explore the desert until you run into Talon, who will tell you how to get to Agate Village, and then Tremor will tell you about the Scorching Desert after you do Ombre's quest

what direction is this game heading towards anymore... it honestly seems like nothing gets done at all. I honestly forgot we had a mentor that we were supposed to be looking for in the first place.

TBF I won't hold them onto every detail, Thing can change dramatically, many stuff they need to make on the go.
As long as they can deliver a good product at the END, it doesn't matter what they've changed during the course.
Also IIRC Hyao said he has the Rough Whole Picture, just a matter how they reach there.
That's also the reason I'm not Checking EVERY updates, And I'm a firm believer the Monthly update models do more harms to ongoing game projects more than good.
WIP projects need tons of Breathing Rooms, no way every update can satisfy (Most of) audiences.
And you should Not treat Vertical Slices as the game.

This game is made for people who like Hunky Beefy Men (Bara), No matter what your sexuality is.
Most NPC you interact with (sexually or not) are Males.
Even if you play as Female, most you see will still be Steamy Men, and you can't see yourself (as female) ingame.
If you are not into men, I'm actually curious what you even like this game about?
(Yeah sorry to say but it might not be a game for you)
