It was balanced at the beginning but since the discord & Patreon members primarily only wanted gay content, it is forgotten. But I do believe Hyao going to eventually develop it more since he did mention making the female in bareshade such as the inn owner's wife, the tailor, and othra as relationship-able characters.
There are a ton of straight content games out there compared to gay content. Are they for real or are they just trolling?

Nono, they're quite serious. The order, from common to uncommon, is "straight non-furry">"gay non-furry">"straight furry">"gay furry". And gay furry stuff commonly is VNs or text based, there's not many actual games with it. However, because a game people like hasn't got enough of a type of porn they prefer, they complain about a lack of content. Hell, people have even gone onto a furry game on this forum and then gone "Urgh, furry", even when it's called something like "Furry Fucks: A furry game for furries".
It's just one of those things that happen here, you'll get numb to seeing the complaints eventually.
I'm truly speechless. Honestly not totally into total furry game content there's not very many gay games and for some reason they think two girls and one guy should be considered gay content which that should be considered bi and not gay. Well to honestly place that in the straight pile of games because you can see that stuff in Playboy. Look how many games straight people have now. I know I don't want to play a game where I have sex with a girl and I think lesbians would feel the same about having sex with a guy in game.

Yeah, honestly, the tags on here aren't great if you're looking for dudes. A lot of lesbian stuff out there, but it's all under the same tag as "Gay", so you'll end up finding a game you could get into only to find the guy you thought you were gonna bone is actually watching two girls go at it. I don't mind straight stuff, but lesbians don't do much for me and I lean towards gay stuff, so it does get annoying when you find 600 anime girls getting shafted but only like 6 guys taking dick, with 5 of those likely being sissification. (Not into it myself)
It's just a mixed bag of success on here, sometimes you'll find good stuff that fits your fetishes, other times you'll find the same cookie-cutter 3D model games with some questionable faces in them, it's luck of the draw.
I understand each had there own preference. They seriously need to label things better. Lesbian content all females, gay content all guys just look at the lgbt lesbian gay bi trans, easy labels to follow. Would make finding content so much easier

The problem is that it is not that easy.
You can run your opinion all you want but making those changes now would mean that they would need to review all the threads one by one to assign the new tags which are either full lesbian, full gay, or bisexual. Considering the amount of game thread that exists now? yea too much hassle.
