Trying to have it both ways doesn't really work though. Most incest fans don't want stepcest and most incest haters will be turned off even if it's only stepcest. Making stepcest will drive off one group without enticing the other, so it makes more sense to commit and make something at least one group wants instead of something only a few people feel lukewarm about.That's not meant for you, but for the wider audience.

Honestly the best middle ground for a game would probably be to make all love interests optional and include incest LIs. Then the incest people get their incest smut and the non-incest people can just skip that/those LIs and enjoy the non-incest LIs. Of course, that doesn't appear to be an option for this set up/story, but that just runs right back in to committing to the audience chosen.
I guess this is just my long winded way of explaining the saying "you can't please everybody all the time" but in the context of hentai games.

Yes, I would say so, though honestly I haven't put all that much thought into it. I realise I should to make sure the game is represented correctly.
It is partly Ai generated in terms of the images. As stated in my itch.io page;

Sometimes it does, sometimes it does not. In the first few lines of dialogue my MC was called Kai 2-3 times regardless.

Sadly the side effect when trying to appease rules and get monetized. Some devs give you the option to set the characters' relationship or there is a patch. Whether by the dev or players.The result of trying to kowtow to incest fans while simultaneously kowtowing to patreon/etc rules (usually).

I've looked into it again, happens all over the game.
I guess you hardcoded the name in some places instead of using the variable and just forgot to switch them all out. Or maybe the context changes and it can't grab the variable.

Oooooh I do see it now! I previously ran a replace-all command to replace the hardcoded "Kai"'s with the new variable, but I can see that it failed me and only replaced some areas. Specifically the areas where there was a symbol behind "Kai", so "Kai!" for example. Can't believe I didn't notice that. Fixed! I'll update the itch.io of course, but not sure how I post updates on here yet. I'll look into that tomorrow. Cheers!
