Christmas/Holiday theme update are the dumbest thing a dev can do. You already need months to make an update to the story we care about but instead you'll devote months toward a silly non-canon update?
Nah, mang. Non-canon updates themed around festivities is just the distraction from the day to day grind that is needed to reinvigorate the creative juices, and makes all subsequent development faster! :ROFLMAO:

This is just me guessing, but for a very slow case release I will take it as "the dev just wanted to take a break". For the FIRST very slow release they get a pass.

It all comes down to communication. If the dev had been clear to his subs from the very beginning that he wants to take a break, Im pretty sure that most of his subs would keep supporting him even if he didnt pauss the monthly fee, but here we are now, promise after promise, thats toying with peoples feelings.

Not to mention the discord has been littered with scam links that hack your account for over a month now. That isn't a good look after ghosting your subs for 2 months.

Pausing the monthly fee for one month was clearly about saving face as there were increasing calls to label this as abandoned. It's not like the dev isn't aware of the lack of communication, he just doesn't seem to care, which isn't a good sign for the future of the game.

The development time for an update will never come close to a 6-month mark. I will always strive to put out a new update every 2-3 months, depending on its size. And I think I have remained consistent on this issue so far.
LOL

That quote didn't even manage to hold for a single update before he broke it. I'd say i was a psychic, but that was just so predictable.

What are you on about? Every update (3 of them) so far has been within the 3 month mark.

Is it cool that 0.5 has been delayed this much? Hell no.

But he was putting out consistent updates before the unfortunate IRL development.

I don't want to take take sides but there is clearly something preventing you from understanding the point made.
You probably should read the quote again and check timeline and context, it will help.

And this is just an example of why you should never use past behaviour to promise (nor expect) a future one.

He said that in January 2025. My point is he said that and the next update broke what he said.

I realize the irony of Scallywag saying that while working on an update that would make him eat his words later on.

Still, he has been consistent & frequent up until the Christmas Special. I still can't call him a milker, since his past behaviour never suggested such a "heel" turn... however, as August creeps ever so closer, and Scallywag continues to ghost everyone on the Discord server, my loyalty wanes...

in the past few months the pattern has been : the dev staying quite till we're halfway through the month.
then he puts out a devlog without any specifications on a release date.
release an ntr sneak peek a week later and go completely radio silent again. restart the cycle.

Seems like the same thing about happen this month as well. If the game was ready for an early to mid july release, we would've had an update about the release date by now.
