We were actually planning to take the new builds and release the update today, but we realized the game still needs a bit more content. So, we decided to extend the development period by another five days.

It’s been quite a busy week, but we’re still working on the game whenever we can. Our current estimate is to release the new update by next weekend.

The good news is that people are still playing our game — and that truly makes us happy. We just hope they’ll also give the new version a try, as we believe their experience will change significantly.
Our biggest concern right now is not being able to promote the new version enough. We need to find a way to bring back players who have already played before. To be honest, we’re not entirely sure how to do that yet. For now, we’re just hopeful.

The upcoming update seems to be shaping the core mechanics of the game. Future updates will most likely focus more on content. Of course, player feedback will continue to shape this process.

Hello everyone!

We originally planned to release the new version of Lustpoly on Saturday, November 8, but things didn’t go exactly as expected, so our morale took a little hit.

We realized that the new mechanics we’ve added to the game need a bit more time to work smoothly and be fun. Therefore, the new version will be released on Saturday, November 15.

We’ll be working hard this week, and we want to thank all our players who have been waiting for news, and we apologize for the delay.

So, what’s coming in the new update?

  • New levels are coming to Lovers!
  • The Home Tile will now feature scenes based on your relationship level.
  • The new Mental Mechanic means your character’s mood will directly affect their finances.
  • Expense Tiles won’t just cost money anymore, some will give mental boosts. New visuals are also on the way!
  • A mini-game that affects the game mechanics is coming.

We finally released Lustpoly v1.5!

During this whole process, we went through every bit of feedback you shared with us, and each one helped shape this new update. As I’ve mentioned before, Lustpoly is being built by just the two of us. Working together brings out a great creative energy, but yes… sometimes it also brings disagreements and a few passive-aggressive moments. Still, we always manage to stay reasonable, talk things through, and push the game forward as a team.

We’re still pretty self-critical when it comes to the art. We want Lustpoly to have a stronger and more polished visual style, and we know that this will eventually require a professional touch. Maybe one day we’ll do a full rework—with outside help. We truly admire the art teams of bigger studios.

(A tiny spoiler… We’ve already started laying the foundations of a new interactive visual novel!)

Significant improvement over the last version, I felt like I actually had some control over the game rather than it being 90% luck. Jokers are a good way to make sure you hit that clutch location (usually the market for me, which I never hit on a roll...), and the Mental mechanic means the "bad" spots are actually worth while hitting.

Perhaps other bonuses could be provided such as move back or forward X spaces to mix things up a bit. Depends how complex you want to make it.

The minigame to get the joker is just pure 50/50, could add some strategy to it by allowing you to reroll one dice, but might need making slightly more difficult to account.
