some appearance from man or the female native will have a chance to be inherited, like skin color, hair color...etc
maybe try placing some ameame dolls from wing workbench, remember its 5% chance to rain per one
Ooh never got that far yet. I got the spider and leaf on my last save. Then i updated, and wanted to go a different route.
Anyone using the stack nearby yotan mod? I've been having items disappear as i'm using it.
Yes. I believe so. Though its only buildings from what i've heard.
IS "colonizing" cave locations possible? Will it prevent raids/have downsides?

never tried it myself but I believe you can build in caves, might have to toggle something off i don't remember. But there was a guy a long ways back now who showed off building bases in a lot of different places with screenshots, someone was even testing the limits of how high you can build with screenshots, might be the same guy actually. You can check out their posts, not that i remember the name to refer you to, those posts were somewhere around when that unbreakable wall mod got posted though so that can be a reference.
Colonies in caves seem to be inactive when you are not inside that cave. So if you put a mine in the cave and go adventuring, you'll return to notice that there is almost no work done in the mine.
Also, rocks in caves respawn, and it looks stupid when you come back to see a rock in the middle of your buildings.
Overall, I don't recommend it.
Yeah the mining is a deal breaker. So definitely not gonna build in one. I just wish the "city walls" buildings looked better.
I looked at this and thought "there is no fucking shot this is anything but trash." I am shocked, shocked! at how functional it is.

That was me. The how-high-you-can-build thing, not the other one. The other one I think might have been from UnknownLurkingUser. He was posting a lot of base screenshots around that time.
On a side note, I did build half of my base inside a cave for a while but I ended up moving it out. Mainly because of the bats. They were annoying as hell LOL. And they kept attacking (and destroying) my workbenches. Pests, I tell you. Anyway, it's not ideal. It doesn't even really stop raids, it's just that they can't reach their target if the target is inside the cave.
Although I did *once* find an enemy native inside my cave (just the one guy), and I still have no idea how that happened! Weirdest thing. Probably a bug.
BTW, building in the air DOES stop raids (assuming you're wearing the decoy charm). So there's that.
I was wondering if I clear a patch of forest and build a bunch of stuff there, will the trees grow back inside the things I made?

yes, they will. Rocks too. Some people recommended to place platforms on ground to stop them growing
PS: the update today has too many bugs to play. Recommended to wait for next update
