I can tell you where to build a base if you would like
Or you can click on this spoiler image to see points of interest on the map to build
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
I would recommend, building inside that 3-crystal gate tunnel, the location can avoid of all raids, your resources/stuff is safe and pretty much no one can bother you, the only downside being that to place buildings down or NPCs down, you need to do it outside
To Build inside, you need to have the green preview image out while outside, walk back into the Gate to place it down
To get NPCs inside, you need to ask them to follow you from the outside, afterward you can set their location point inside
Cool map but it should include some explanation/context, to better know what that location would provide. On the other hand the base locations are quite good in general. Building a base next to spawn point of the big foot in the South is another good place I would personally recommend, by focusing on leveling up gather rate you can level up really fast thanks to those trees that give you more wood, and by letting your campanions kill and feed them the XP fruit from the big foot you can help them earn levels much faster or capture the big foot early/earn that XP for yourself for that power spike you need to start summoning raids.

Second suggestion is building a base just at entrance of Mine (South) next to the "Fishing Village" for easy access to metal and a base that have access to a "cave" backdoor to put things like cages or the shitload of work benches or exploit it like you suggest by placing even the NPCs inside.

Finally another one I regret not taking and a personal favourite is doing a base at the entrace or inside the underground people/redstone cave. You're near the trader, themore wood trees and you can get a lot of fabric from killing the female aberrations there.

Time to show off my Sixth base...why Sixth base? Didn't I said I am still trying to find a Fifth base?
Well I already made a Fifth base but felt very unfinished so WIP
Therefore here, my Sixth base xD
Sixth Base as a Fishing Village and for Level 4000~2000 Elite Female Natives
Two level 4000 Elite Large Female Natives as the Guards
One level 4000 Elite Female Native nearby them as Assist
My other level 4000 Elite Female Native was named "Nun" and you know what I do with them, Priest looking clothes and give her a Bow
View attachment 4128856
Now that's not the Cool part of it

The cool part of it is that
I had a Pet from early game and Honestly it just can't keep up with my Bullshit of ever increasing my Raid levels
However it is enough to take out the "Scouts"
I manage to drop a Blue Lobster below this base to serve as a "Scout killer"
View attachment 4128871

If you do not know, NPC generally avoids Water aside from Mermaid which she needs it to move around fast
Enemy Scout Natives DOES NOT Care about Water and they will be happy to walk under it, thus there will be enemies under the base sometimes, what is a better way than putting a Lobster back into where it should be xD
It should come to no surprise that You cannot put NPCs into the Waters (again, excluding Mermaid) You can however put them on an elevated surface like Table/Platform and then drop them down into it...okay the last part sounds so wrong.
So yea, I just felt like posting this one xD felt good making this base
It's location is here if anyone wants to try and build a base here.

How do you increase NPC level that much? Mine just doesn't level up even a portion of that

My main base is where you have your "fishing village" and, for a long time, a big part of it was inside the mine that opens there. I've kept the external part but eventually got rid of the inner setup.

Why?

Because of those damned bats! They drove me fucking nuts. Every time I went in, boom! There'd be one harrassing me. They also damaged my workbenches whenever I wasn't looking. Had to repair them quite a few times.

So I just gave up and moved everything that was in there to my sky keep. Much quieter up there. And brighter, too :D

Others have answered. Just wanted to clarify however that you can only have one blue flag. You'll need to use red flags (which cost food to travel) for your other bases.

Food isn't really a problem after a while, though, so you can have as many bases as you like. Knock yourself out!
How do you move the blue flag?

I'm stuck as male mc after I finished the story (second treant fight, Yona gets lost after the first one and you are forced into the "man"). Does anybody know how to swap to Yona or where I can find her after all of that? I'm not sure if I did any checkpoints, but I think I checked everything and recalled npc and stuff.

Edit: figured it out - type /change and you'll swap if you'll get stuck like that.

Anything above Lv.400 imo, it's more easier to "Capture them during a Raid" then trying to raise them with either "Wonder Berries" or "Golden Eggs"
1748420750731.png

Training is also a thing but it is so slow...
1748421160986.png 1748421249038.png 1748421220270.png
1748421348284.png 1748421422130.png 1748421437802.png
I got two Major Training Camps, you can see, the Oldest Members has gain a lot of levels and Points to raise
However, those Three Female Natives you see? Over 20~35+ hours at those Sandbags and only that Level
That Elder Sister Native was not captured during Raid but Turned young from an Old Granny to this, only Lv.84 after 20+ hours at this place.

Most NPCs does not have an AoE attack, making them Level Up during a raid almost impossible UNLESS its the Giant-San, because she has AoE attack that can wipe the entire floor clean.

Again, during a Normal gameplay, these NPC may be strong, but I'm the insane person around here doing 800~1000 Raiders at once or High Level Raiders Attacks
1748421856391.png

My advice?
Retire the Low level Natives to safer jobs
Capture Higher level Natives, challenge yourself
Keep the "Wonder Berries" or "Golden Eggs" for your Unique Companions like Shino, Giant, Reika etc
(Unless of course you got a favorite Native that you are willingly to raise her/him no matter what.)

how to make raid only come from one side?
There's no way to do that sadly, I would suggest to the Dev on their discord if they would like to make some sort of a Mark for the Raid Direction but I'm not in their discord and even if it suggested, idk if it would be taken

Take my 1st Base for example
The biggest issue with it is that the Raiders will always come from the Mountain Roads, in a Normal Game, without turning off the invisible Wall from the Debug option, these Raiders will just be stuck there and will never come from ANY other direction other than these two Arrows.
1748420343359.png 1748420514688.png

But in this location
They will always come from one direction as there's no other place to spawn them.
Same goes for that location below but because it's wider, there's two attack point from the same direction

Realistic they won’t. NPCs get roughly 1/4 of the exp you earn when following or all of it if they get a killing blow during a fight. The only way to get really high level natives is thru capture raid enemies.

If you want Yona back the correct way you need to continue the story. The new event should be on the west side of the arena where you fought the Ent king.

You can type /change
but I find it is easier to just teleport to the Base Flag
And press "Call" to get Male MC or Yona there
Remember to set their Location point where you want, Otherwise they will try to go back to the Beach

I mean I too would do that, unfortunately like Keigo and reika story line
Keigo's locket is such valuable equipment as it's permanent and doubles any weapon's by two folds even Faint damage
And the best story outcome is keeping keigo alive while not killing him nor cuck him
Which I end up having dup Keigo and Reika for re-doing their story line and I don't regret it.
Think of it like RPG game where you see Persona A and B at Town A, when you travelled to Town B, Person A or B is there
So you're saying if I kill Nami I get a valuable item like Keigo's locket??

Cool map but it should include some explanation/context
Well I would if people like to hear my entire reason to build this and that locations xD
But the Original topic was about on where to build a base, finding things out is a part of the fun, naturally I would only be giving pointers

!!For Forum Moderators, the following Screenshots are all done without DLC file installed!!
No rule breakers here ;)

But if you want, here's my reason for each Bases I got following the timeline
Starting with the 1st Base
1st Base
- 1st ever build base, it's a nice location as "Normal" Gameplay, you're immune to Raid attacks aside from Scout Raiders, Normal as in you did not TURN OFF the Invisible Wall in the Debug option.
You also have access to Human Resources as in Medium Village nearby
And the Mines
And also the Underground Dungeon, now? Christmas Presents which can be used as "Arrow" farming
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

2nd Base
- 2nd ever build base, It's also a great location, specially after knowing you can PUT Buildings and NPCs inside of Mission Areas, this really massively improve my own gameplay as the sky is the limit to where you can build your base
It is also a safe location as Raids can't happen inside of Mission areas + there's free surgery tables for you to use.
This is also around the time I start to have some fun by being Victor Frankenstein, reviving all of the Dead female Natives during Raids...this will be an important thing later on

3rd Base
- 3rd ever build base, as you have saw my crafting table post, I build most of the stuff there, tame most of the stuff there
It has access to Corrupted Land, which has Rucks
It has a Small Pond and Lake nearby
It has Dark Forest Land as its entrance which offers the most amount of Wood you can get +30 per dark tree.
There's also a Prison Exit to enter after you unlock the Takumi storyline missions
I have only recently expand the base to the outside, from two Female Large Native guarding to a Whole Garrison of Natives and Wolves protecting the "Nun" native whom is wearing that Decoy necklace.

Resource Farm
- This base is called that way because it is ONE of the largest Resources Farm I have going on
After doing way too much fun in my 2nd base, I got too much Androids and I have decided to *Sorta* dump them here
They're assigned to EVERY Farming Job you can imagine
Mining? Lumber? Food? Repair? Digging? Excavation? Farming?
Everyone has a Job on that, thus it's my Resource Farm
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

Training Camp
- As you have saw above, Training Natives 24/7, it mainly design to lure Raids away mainly
It has access to the Mushroom Forest which gives you green mushroom to farm & Mandrake, there's also a Lobster there, so you can eat good if you desire
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

Untainted Village
- Untainted but it's really just the Giant's old living place, now given to a bunch of YoungMan whom..."the Father" had too much fun around the base, all Born Males were offer 10+ hours of training at the 3rd base and relocated to the Untainted Village, where there's Small scale farms going on and mostly peaceful while having guards standby near the border where the corrupted land and the green grass meets.
It has access to the Goat Boss and that Corrupted Cave where there's that Gorilla Duo there
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

Fishing Village
- Design to house Female Natives I captured during the Raid, got too much of them and now they form a village of their own
It's near a River, naturally I have to make it a Fishing base where I can also fish there in peace, lol
It has access to a Cave nearby yes.
But also a Large Village nearby
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

Abandoned Dump
- This is an interesting location...this is only after 0.41 version came out that I did this.
Design for me to put away the Unwanted Androids honestly, I would kill but I go back my decision and put them away instead
There's...well...click on the Spoiler image and you'll get it if you are at the end game like me.
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

Beach Head Village
- End game location, nothing is really there aside from the Beach
Originally it was there because I cast away a bunch of unwanted/ugly looking Androids I built
I rebuild the entire place and put Nami there, so it's a Small village
Can be used as a Raid Location as only one major direction they will come from
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
!!!Nami is wearing Elite DLC Archer outfits, that is not a DLC character there!!!

Milking Village

- During my fun at the 2nd base...I got a lot of amputee Female natives who can provide milk
They were relocated from the Small camp to this location, where the Androids would be milking them + Life Orb farm from a YoungMan
There's nothing there, Raids come from two sides
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

Drug Farm
- A Village that has friendly Natives using drugs and having Sex 24/7
I gave them a Defense force for protection and some Tent and some Farm
This place actually don't make drugs, but because they're literally in a drug field, it may as well be
This place offer Free Sex natives, Free protection, Free ingredients to the Love perfume
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

Trader Village
- Trader's location, I gave it some family who has no place to be & defense
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

Mine(North)
- A Team of Mainly Elite Female Natives is housed in that mine to provide security and fill up empty cave spaces
Kills every enemies in the Cave for you to collect
https://f95zone.to/threads/mad-island-v0-41-beta-e-made.209671/post-17087097

Small Camp
- Shino's Old Camp, given to three Youngman, turn into a Life Orb Farm.
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

Spider Cave
- If you have read the recent post, this cave is full of Elder Brothers I captured during the Halloween raid
They don't really offer anything unique or things that I would need them...so I send them all to the Spider cave to capture the place
https://f95zone.to/threads/mad-island-v0-41-beta-e-made.209671/post-17106736

Here's the Updated Map

To make this post, I actually hit the limit of how much files you can attach, lol (32 limit)
Some base got empty spots, those are for Elite DLC Archers...but you know, forum rules, can't show them

So you're saying if I kill Nami I get a valuable item like Keigo's locket??
This is unrelated to Nami, lol
Also Nami has nothing to be killed for xD

Keigo's locket?
During the quest on Reika and Keigo, at the end you kill Keigo to get his locket, yes...
Altho I would just spawn it instead of trying to kill Keigo as that is a bad route down the line

how to get to that area resource farm. there is a secret area inside crystal cave that takes you outside. but that huge area doesn't have invisible wall, so my native will fall out
You can...
1. Go to options -> Debug -> Turn off the Invisible Wall
Now you can get there just by climbing up the cliff

2. Use red flags
Go where the Native Boss location is
1748431873425.png
To the left of the Gate
You can place down red flag near the flat surfaces, given you upgrade your build distance
Now teleport to that red flag
Afterward, you can just climb the cliff up there.
1748431750021.png 1748431775937.png

Note, this can be done with the invisible wall option on
As you can see me sitting on the invisible wall
1748431963884.png

As for the Native falling out, check my post above on the "3rd base"
I do not let them roam around the edge, only at the start of the area and the end of the area
You can set their movement so they don't walk off the edge
