Where'd y'all decide to build your base?
I build on top of laboratory
You can build stairs on the small 'crater' on the lower left side and access another 'plate' for building. The space you're currently using has a small problem: the 'hill' on the lower side can be actually travelled but cannot be built on, so raids will easily skip most spikes and walls there.

I build my starter base not far from the original beach base, right next to the ten or so ponds with yellow flowers near them. I eventually move it over to the outside area of the iron mine across the river on the eastern side of the map. Only problem I've ever ran into with that base is raids spawning in the mountains north of that position and getting stuck, but that's only ever happened twice so far; generally they approach from the south or they cross the river.

Anyone know how to disable different components of the Yotan Enhanced Island mod?

I only want the zoom, missing components check, and disassemble items part of the mod.

Don't want the other features.

I don't know why Yotan decided to merge all the components into one package and then nuked the instrustructions on the requirements and how to install the mod.

Cause before he use to give well written instructions on which Bepin package you need to download, where to put it, etc... his current readme guide is basically useless for the ordinary user, and more of instructions just for other modders / coders.

Edit: Never mind I figured it out.

The stupid link in the mainpages takes you to a dumb index / landing page instead of the actual End User Guide directly. Then landing page wasn't very intuitive, where you have to click on the tabs at the top. I assumed the landing page was the the End User Guide but apparently it is not.

So you need to manually click on the part that says End User Guide which actually takes you to the instructions.

Earlier I was just clicking on the Guide - Yotan Mod Core part because the link in the readme section of the main repository made it seem like it linked you to the End User Guide directly rather than a pointless intro Index page.

This is for those for whom "none.bat" does not work 100%, for example, with “Boss Native” still had mosaics and for whom the demosaic mods are too laggy and buggy.

– Just unzip, start, and enjoy

Download: Mad_Island_v0.5.4_UNCENSORED.zip

And that's with a few extras.

Included extras:
- Cheat plugin

- Savegame

Download: Mad_Island_v0.5.4_UNCENSORED+EXTRAS.zip

thx Lansser for updated files

Go into the folder /BepInEx/config/ - if it remains configurable, it should've a file in there.
I'd assume it's simple changes from "True" to "False" on parts you don't want to have. (Assuming the config is documented enough to understand).

Haven't used it myself, so it is just a guess.

Yeah that is correct.

From the changelogs when the change first happened, it made it seem like he added a in game configuration menu. But sadly it still just a .txt config file at the directory you indicated.

Whenever I played, I usually have one main and several outposts sort of.
My initial "Main" base, I tend to make at the southern entrance of the mines where the spider boss is located.
Easy source of early iron, raids (did) tend to come from primarily south or east (Although if you place the targeted NPC too close to the entrance, they occasionally try from uphill...) but yeah.
Outposts then tend to be scattered, from decorative ones to just "short stops" with food gatherers and such, for example near the ruins, lab and wherever I feel like wanting to decorate.

Might've added better support for the generally used config mod? (It should work regardless of added support I believe, but yeah...)
Oh nvm... not better support for it to track the changes it seems. But anyway:
