I believe the last Patreon post said they're going to be focused 100% on working on the update. We should know more by the end of October.

I was just playing through a game called Mall Creeps, when I found a poster in it, that was a plug to Maeve's Academy. I always like seeing this kind of connective tissue between games and developers. Clicking on the poster in game gave one of the characters a costume option from Maeve's Academy, as well.

You should check out the devs itch store pages. the usually have a section on their pages for their friends games. Lots of games have small cross overs like the one in Mall Creeps and Maeves academy (thats how I found out about maeves lol)

I mean it went from "weekly status updates" to "monthly status updates" to "status updates eventually" real fast on there lol
though it has not been long enough to warrant an "abandoned" status yet, i would still give it time.

Last update on Patreon was back in August.
Honestly, just slap this game with an Abandoned tag. If they ever update, we can remove it, and if they pay attention here, it might shock them into completing it.

This has been the best argument for the abandoned tag. Their last post about it did mention a timeframe between september / october so we're still in planned time, but the radio silence is a broken pattern now.

The dev won't be shocked, since the dev is keeping up to date with the discussions on this forum. I don't think the "Abandoned" tag is relevant here, given the tentative notions here of a release sometime around the end of this month. If that tentative time frame passes with no news, then it becomes relevant, but we are still within the planned timeframe. On a different note, I wish the dev, and everyone here, a happy upcoming holiday season. Goodness knows we need a little more cheer these days.

First of all, I want to thank you and those in the thread that have been giving me the benefit of the doubt. I'll reply the same way I did in the Discord Community Server:
Those supporting on Patreon have access to the Patreon Discord channel, where I recently shared that an alpha build is being prepared for testing in the coming days. Some of the mod team members, along with close community members who’ve helped with development, have kindly agreed to alpha test it before we go live.
As I mentioned there, I’ve been mostly radio-silent lately because of how stressful these past months have been. I’ve been pushing hard to wrap up the update as fast as I can, so I’ve been dropping small updates in Discord instead. I honestly haven’t even had the time or mental space to sit down and make a proper post. It’s been that stressful, to the point I barely have time to cook for myself or my fiancée.
The alpha build should be ready within the next few days. While I originally hoped to finish the full update before the end of October, at least now I can confidently say it’s right around the corner.
Also, here are some new (and a few cropped) preview images from the upcoming story scenes. Since we’re finally getting close to finishing anyways.

Just... Try not to take this much time? Waiting like this is ass, and it's easy to get into the habit of putting shit off as a dev. That's why I have no portfolio.
