Yeah the Fairy Flower one seemed like a nice change of pace from their usual stuff, I wish they'd focus more on it. I find the combat more entertaining, although the MC was a bit OP (at least in the first level). The kicks are cool and animated fairly well, the only awkward animation I noticed was the 2nd part of the base combo, the overhead kick looks a bit off. The elbow smash, the rest of the kicks, and the headscissor takedown were all top notch though. I love her walking animation too, skipping along so merrily is a pretty great contrast to what happens if you get beaten.
I hadn't figured out all the controls yet, seems there's a way to activate a counter from a block and some other non obvious attacks. These games really need a combo list. Just saw the trailer and already noticed a couple of moves I didn't find out how to use in game yet.
Ah, the counter is block + spacebar when hit. Really would prefer it being the normal attack button. Reaching down to spacebar while holding block is a little awkward. Also the HP + MP was switched to Q/W and A is a ranged attack.
Dunno why they'd already be planning to end it so soon, what a shame. It's quite a step up in combat from the previous games. Actually feels like you have some options instead of spamming the same attacks over and over. Got real tired of spam spiking enemies in Fairy Heart. I haven't played it too much because I'm waiting for it to be completed, I assume it stays pretty decent into later levels though.
