No one is getting "trigged" by it. We are simply stating that it is done poorly. The guy could have been better portrayed or the relationship given more time to develop, as is it just feels tacked on, like it was an after-thought.
I'll explain in detail, because that is what I do. I hate misunderstandings. No one is getting upset that the game is NTR. We can read the tags. We are just wondering why it was included at all if it wasn't going to be done

The guy that our character supposedly loves has no redeeming qualities whatsoever, so it makes it all the more baffling that the MC would fall in love with him. The problem here is apparent in this very thread, the immersion has been ruined. Instead of enjoying the porn, I had to stop and think for a moment when the main character said she loved him. "Where did that come from?", I thought to myself. Now I find myself questioning this strange turn of events rather than enjoying the game. I still got back into the flow of it, but my questions would surface yet again every time he was brought up. To put that into context, I didn't even question the girl suddenly being summoned to another world, but
this was so outlandish that it broke the flow of the game for me.
He could have still been a shy not-so-bright wuss and still been likeable if he was a genuinely good fellow that "believed in her dreams with all his heart! No matter what anyone else said, he was always there to support her!" Or something like that. Sure it would have been sappy, but it would give some reason as to why the girl would like him. But we don't get that, we get him being a selfish prick that just follows her around cause she is cute and pays attention to him. The game starts with him telling her to give up on her dreams! The only thing that makes him look like an even remotely respectable person is that we have his "friend" to compare him too, and the fact that he isn't a total asshole doesn't change the fact that he is an asshole.
As is, the only reason I can even fathom the girl would care about him is by comparing him to a retarded puppy. She sees his "friend" constantly kicking the puppy and understandably wants to help get that puppy to somewhere safe. But love? I don't see it. If they were to get together, it would last a year, at best.
