Friday Progress Update, May 16: "All the Girls"

Hello, folks.

I'm sorry for being a tad late today. I was held up. It was completely outside my control.

Anyway, I've spent the week (minus today so far) rendering. I'm done with the morning of day 17. One sex scene and some transitions and such things. We're now in the day part. And it's massive. That's what she said!

I'll post a couple of previews below. One of Catalina on the phone. Another of Hannah on the phone. There's no way they're talking to each other. Right? The third is of... you tell me.

Friday Progress Update, May 23: "All the Girls"

Hello!

This is supposedly progress report #112. How about that.

So what's up with Maid to Please? Well, It was a week full of only one thing: Catalina. Our poll winner is getting her well-earned screen time. I did renders, a shorter animation and an animation that is 960 frames big. 960 frames at 24 fps makes it, uh, 40 seconds long? It's one of those circling cameras I kind of like.

I want to touch very briefly on another topic. Any Canadian hockey fans in the room? I have a lego set of a Danish flag for you. What a shocker!

Anyway, suck it up and move on. A good motto for any slut. I'm not saying Canadians are sluts, not at all. I like Canada! And sluts. I lost the thread here.

Let's talk about adult game development. Someone asked me if it's worth it? I'll be brutally honest. If you're asking from a financial standpoint, fuck no. I'd bet less than a tenth of a percent of people who jump on the xxx-game-dev bandwagon can live on it. That's probably generous by a factor of ten.

It's a hobby. If you look at it as such, it's up to you to decide if it's a hobby for you. And if you happen to strike the right note and build enough of a fan-base to live on it, shit that's amazing for you.

I'd show you some new pictures but I had a Cat one last week and there's a lot of nudity. I'll put one or two behind a paywall where it's allowed.

What a wonderful day for a Progress Report! And guess what... I've been rendering! Yeah, it doesn't sound too exciting, does it? It's basically the same as last week. That's the downside of weekly progress updates I guess.

I spent a full day and half of the following day on a single 20-seconds animation. It turned out alright though, so no regrets on my part.

I'm still on Catalina too. And will be for the coming week as well. Though some other girl will sneak in for a little screen time as well.

I rack my brain for something to write about but I come up blank. Let's hope the questions saves me!

Would there be an update with extra content a year or two after MtP is done to show MC's life with the girls?

So I have no such plans. What I was thinking of doing was writing a bit about stuff I cut out fot various reasons. Doing a full update a year later is a lot of work. I also know that when MtP ends, there will be a ton of stuff that could still have happened.

Maybe I'll get back to it in the future but now, I'm feeling the oncoming of a bit of MtP fatigue and a need to do other types of content. MtP will have an ending though. But this coming update is not the last.

It's time. Take a seat and let me spin ye a little tale about a Friday Progress Update who took the wrong turn in a deep, dark forest.

Just kidding, we're on the right track. The progress this week is... more Catalina! But we're nearing the end of her content, thank the Lord. It's now been two months since the 0.16.5 update. Time flies. My current progress, if you like numbers, is 340 renders and 9 animations with a total of 2521 frames.

But I also started the update progress with writing a decently sized script. I am very roughly halfway through it. So I have script enough for another 350ish renders. Maybe I could do a 700-render update in a month or six weeks (with the other stuff involved). I am completely undecided if that is what I want to do though, or if I should keep going.

All I can say is that it's a really great game and it's really sad if it does end after 2 next updates. IMO, everything here is so good (dialogues, characters, their models, humor, and plot) that you can continue to create further...After all, even if revenge is accomplished, the girls have not gone anywhere and there is just an immeasurable field for maneuvering and fantasy. Of course, it's up to the Dev to decide what to do with the game, but that was my 2 cents.

I'm back. Back again. Na na na.

Back with a little Friday Progress Update. I don't know what to write in these damn things when deep in the production cycle. I did a dance animation with one of the most famous dances of all time. Yay. And renders. The weather is really picking up, I'll probably take an ice cream break at some point during the weekend.

I'm making this post in Chrome by the way. I've been a Firefox user for the longest time but it's slipping. I know, you're all years ahead of me.

This is progress update 115. I feel like these things get shorter and shorter. I need to let my mouth run more to fill up a page or so at least. Or let my fingers run. Over the keyboard.

Are you going to split PD17 into two separate updates?

It's honestly looking like it. PD17 part 1-2 (morning+day) is looking like about 700 renders. Afternoon+evening+night feels like they'd push the update into the autumn. I don't really want to do that. The bad part of this is that the latest content update is not completed in the first half of this so I can't poll the second half.

The game will end suddenly and unsatisfactory. Probably! But I plan on writing a little on each character, ideas and stories that didn't happen etc. Maybe I should call it the ending of Act 1. But with no promise of ever doing an Act 2.

Hello!

We have arrived at another Friday in a long line of wonderful Fridays. It's time for another of them Friday Progress Reports that keeps getting shorter and shorter it feels like.

So what have I been up to? Rendering, in short. I'm done with the Catalina part of the update and I'm 40-something renders into the scenes after that. It's a bit of Beth again, some Hannah, and of course Ashley.

I feel like every damned render these days have more than one person in them. It slows down posing with 2-3-4 people compared to just one person. Boo-Hoo poor me!

On the upside, I have quite a few locations I use. It's another rather time consuming thing, when you want to do a new location, with searching for assets, setting up everything, and so on. Although there are a couple of new places. A yoga studio and a locker room comes to mind.

Did you make any changes to the plans for your next game?

Yes. I've decided that the people I've thrown ideas at were far too positive in their feedback. I've thus decided to make it darker, more controversial, the content more morally questionable than I had originally intended. I'm also still pondering the possibility of a sandbox. Not a single person has a positive attitude on the topic of sandboxes.

Honestly though, if you take all the points available, the MC doesn't seem to play any favorites. Personally, my favorite is clearly Sandra, that's why I'm keeping her to myself.
