Aww how cute.... the good old sarcasm instead of answering my question why you did it
It seems to me you know how bad it is for a writer to be inconsistent and that it had been better if you had remade the first chapters. Sadly you were just to lazy to do so and this is the outcome
But don´t worry, I won´t point out all the other stuff you probaly messed up as well, there are so many good devs out there, so there is no need to waste my time with your VN anymore
But to end it on a friendly note, your game had good moments I liked and I know there went a lot of time and efford into it, so I wish you success for your project, even if I am not playing it anymore
and the MC having the education he does was in my design document from day 1. There are several hints if you pay attention, such as the MC's gun knowledge.
Seriously, though. Your game is silly and funny, and I really enjoy it. I thought the Christine thing was funny the first time, but when I replayed it there are so many things the MC says that it may have been even funnier.

I was obviously neutral when I read it, and I really don't understand your points.
1. Didn't we find out pretty early on that he was going under cover? So by definition he needs to lie to everyone?
2. Isn't the thing with Christine relatable? Perhaps exaggerated, but hasn't everyone at some point mistaken, or questioned, the gender of someone?
3. I can't really comment on the marriage one because it comes down to whether people see marriage as being significantly different than a long term girlfriend.

You still enjoy the game, I am happy for you, I don´t want to change anyones mind about this game
Things you probaly see as a plottwist are immersionbreaking for me, it is simple as that
Keep having fun with it <3
I'm a shitposter since long before being a dev, it's why I write nonsense in this thread and elsewhere.
I do enjoy deep, insightful posts and delve into my psyche as much as the next guy though, so please do tear it apart. Just don't claim I originally intended Chris to be a boy or the MC to not be an undercover cop or you'll disappoint me greatly.
Maybe you did intend it, maybe you didn´t, I don´t care and if you did, it simply didn´t work for me
Why lying to the father ? Wouldn´t he be encouraging to his son getting more light on what happened to his late wife ?
Who paid for the education ? I would guess daddy did with all his wealth and how they treat each other and he didn´t saw where the money went ?!?
Keeping it a secret means he was a "secret agent" even before he had his first day at the police acadamy
I doesn´t make any sense for me so I came to the conclusion you changed it later on to make the MC look "cooler", but you said it was your plan all along, so be it...
That is the reason why I suggested playing the first chapters again and I still do
That is enough from me, good luck with your game and believe it or not, I realy mean it
but can we have zombie Beth I think that would be hot i'd just have to be careful when I give her a headpat or nose boop lol. ngl if you did "special episodes" like some other devs would be perfect for a short Halloween special for fun

Hi...I put together a small compilation of mods, as well changed the default textbox, and included a few UI changes...which adjusts how this title will look and play. These are a few of the adjustments included with my Mod compilation...
Changed the default textbox, to a custom bottom dark shading version(it compliments the dialog text, without affecting the image frame backgrounds).
Edited the gui.rpy file, reduced the name box size, altered the dialog positioning, etc.
Included the Universal Choice Descriptor mod (this mod can display on screen some hidden content behind story choices.) Please NOTE <This utility mod is NOT a walk through, but can sort of work like one.>
Included the 0x52_URM tool, (which can be used to edit or display hidden info behind story choices, consisting of game affection / sub points, or display requirement checks as they happen through out the story. Note: Using the ALT m keys together will bring up the tool's search function.)
Also included a mod that hide's or display's the quick menu by pressing your Q key. (Cleans up the dialog area of the screen.)
Included a textbox opacity and font slider mod, (use to adjust the shading intensity of the dialog textbox, and or increase or decrease the dialog font size.)
Included acustom dialog text outline mod that places a dark shadow outline around the dialog font (makes it easier to see the name and dialog text).
Install: Just extract and merge the mod's game folder with this titles game folder (over write when prompted). Then run your game.exe, and enjoy this title's minor UI changes and added utility features.
Note: This mod compilation should not need regular updates, (provided no major coding changes have been done to the original script of this title)…so this mod compilation should continue to work for future game releases.
As well, a positive note...this mod compilation should not affect game saves like other wt mods have done in the past (avoids corrupting saves).
I only use the 'universal choice descriptor', if the dev did a good job, it's variables are understandable. If it makes problem I can just delete the mod.
Doing these kind of mods often f*cks up the save files, and lots of exception often come in later versions..
Well most of the files I included can be used with other Ren'Py titles (though do not use the gui.rpy included with that mod...as it's only usable with the Maid to Please title).
Also the font slider mod included can cause issues (errors) with some Ren'Py titles...so if you have an issue trying to load the mod compilation (remember don't use gui.rpy file)...just remove the font slider mod file first.
Also, some titles will use different text box sizes (dimensions)...so that could also cause some visual issues trying to use it (mouse over will show the text box size, if it hasn't been hidden (encripted) by the titles developer).
And also, I placed (_) underscores in front of all the mods (...which makes it easier to locate and remove any of the mods installed that might be causing issues if used with other Ren'Py titles).

Well the "_Textbox_font_slider" file included with my mod increases the font size as well included a opacity slider. But it some times can cause load errors with some titles, so it's a gamble with each title it's used on.
There is another option if the gui file (located in the game folder) hasn't been hidden by the developer, you can edit the title's file to increase the font size. (But keep a clean copy before you edit it, in case something goes wrong.)
