Hi,

Will any of the non-vanilla tags: Footjob, Lesbian, Multiple Penetration, Prostitution, etc be
Optional, as in the player decides whether they happen or not?

As far as actual interaction goes, yeah, entirely optional. However, narratively, some things will be present. Such as in main quest cutscenes. I'll be working on a "censorship" panel so that if they do typically appear in cutscenes, it will instead "reference" what's happening instead of showing it, provided you have that genre censored.

Edit* To further elaborate, if you have a tag censored, whatever scene it is will NOT involve you. It will only "reference" a scene if it's happening without you anyway.

edit: maybe cut down the planned tags a liitle bit and concentrate on a few
and maybe keep some in the bag so you can add some spice if necessary

Not yet, but most likely in the future! Patreon is my foremost option right now, so I'm being careful about their ToS. I'm actively looking into "taboo" kinks, including incest, in a safe way that is also serviceable to those that do enjoy it. I don't wanna half ass it for anyone either. There's ALWAYS an option there... even unofficial ones.

I hope that in the future you implement incest (unofficial). Until then I'll keep an eye out.

I’m really excited to have v0.1.1 out, FINALLY! It’s been just over a year since the ‘proof of concept’ debuted and I sincerely appreciate everyone who took the time to check the game out and leave feedback.

After the release, I made a decision to hold off on consistent updates here, and focused on patreon until the game was in a more developed state. I don’t like the idea of asking for your support, only to have you wait months for an update where everything is under the hood, and there’s not much content. So I worked with the generous patrons I had/have, and here we are!

Now, it’s a significantly improved game with most of the core mechanics fully operational, if not in their early stages. I’m looking forward to being far more present and consistent with updates here, and I’m considering this the first real public release of the game, so to speak.

I’d love to hear any and all constructive feedback, or even just about your favorite girls/features so far! Thanks again, and I hope you enjoy the game!

The game seems to freeze during the Unearthed quest. After the cave starts to collapse when the MC finds the stairs in the back, I can't move or do anything anymore after dialog ends.

Thanks again for reporting this! I was able to recreate the issue in only 1 way. In between the player acknowledging the stairs and stepping onto them, it allows you to queue up a single step by holding a movement key down, or by clicking quickly through the cutscene and accidentally tapping the map. If you do happen to move, it throws the players' position off for the cutscene causing you to get stuck.

I have fixed it by forcing the game to navigate you to the stairs even if you hold down a movement key during the cutscene. I was unable to re-create the bug after doing this.

Hopefully that sounds familiar! I have uploaded a quick fix; simply extract these files inside of your "Maiden Matrix v0.1.1" folder, and replace the file when asked.

Or, if you don't want to download the fix, you can simply try the cutscene again and keep your hands off the directional arrows, and use the "z" or "w" keys to forward the text instead of clicking to avoid accidentally moving.

When using zZZ you are still tired the next day and cannot goto the gym to train strength.
When I got the level up indicator for Bree and tried to talk to Sabine it would switch to Bree and not allow me progress with her.
The Sector 10 quest does not progress after getting the Residential Permit.

Genuinely don't know what's going on. Tried it both with and without the hotfix and it still freezes in the same spot. I walk up to the stairs and let the cutscene play out, making sure not to touch anything, and it still didn't work. I should've just posted the save for you to look at in the first place, sorry.

This is definitely a weird problem.

I downloaded your save, and it worked perfectly. To make sure, I broke out a much older computer, downloaded the game fresh from the google drive link here, loaded your save, and it worked perfectly again. My first inclination is maybe there's somehow corrupted files with your download, or your save game? Hopefully it's not a hardware issue, in some crazy way.

All in all, your save is working fine for me on two different computers. So just to be extra safe, I started a new save from scratch, re-did all the intro cutscenes for the girls you met, re-applied your items and Gold, and also restored all the love points and love EXP you had with all the girls you talked to thus far. Then I saved it at the same point as the save you sent me. You can find the new save attached here so you don't have to re-do everything yourself. Go ahead and try this new save. To be clear, I also went ahead and tested it and it worked fine on my end again so HOPEFULLY this fixes your issue.

If it doesn't, the next step is to re-download the game, and load your save that way. It's all I can think to try. Sorry for these issues!

Hey! Thanks a lot for the bug report!!

I got the Quicksleep issue fixed, it will now correctly cure exhaustion. I also got fixed the Sector 10 quest not progressing when you receive your permit in the mail.

I'm working on testing the issue with Bree and Sabine right now. All fixed. Also solved potential conflicts with Alice, Ornella, and Siren. If nothing else pops up in the next couple days, I'll upload a hotfixed version of the game that fixes all of these issues!

Although, both Bree and Sabine lack any Level Up content yet, of course. And obtaining your permit is currently the end of the Sector 10 quest progression (It's still supposed to update and tell you that). Thankfully, you should still be able to build homes despite the quest not progressing!

Nope. Still didn't work. Neither did starting a new save and speedrunning back to that point. I guess it has to be something on my side cause everything else in game seems to work fine. I don't want to keep bugging you about this, so I'll figure something out.

That's actually crazy, I'm having trouble figuring out what it could be, even if it is a computer-specific issue. Nearly every part of that event is self-contained and there aren't any loops. The vast majority is in-house rpg maker eventing with the only script use controlling self-switches for other events that don't run anything.

It's no bother though, I should be thanking you for sticking with it and helping me try to figure out why this may not work for others as well. I'm going to keep trying to look at it, but keeping in mind I have it working on my end even with your save, I'm really stumped.

My nuclear option is to re-do the entire structure of the event hahaha. I can't make any promises that will happen soon, but if there's a chance it fixes the issue or avoids some kind of hang up, I'll put it on the list. If I start getting more reports about this problem, I'll move it up the list.

I'm bummed I couldn't find a quick and easy solution for you, but I'll keep working at it. My deepest apologies.

I'm incredibly happy to hear this fixed the issue for you! I'll get on doing a full playtest with that setting on, and make sure I fix any other errors before uploading the hotfixed version.
