I played the update without the mod, there are no serious hard decisions to make. The wording is pretty clear what action/direction to expect.
And just in case of doubt - check the girl-stat (red heart in the left upper corner) for the points before and check after the whole scene finished to see if your choice made it raise the girls points ^^
