i have been bamboozled at this forest puzzle, I did it the first time i got here, but had to run from the fight being underlevelled, i dont know if this soft locked it but i have spent so long trying to unlock it now, does anyone have the proper way to get through it

After playing some more I've learned, it was designed that way to force people to read the FAQ, it has nothing to do with being underage. The FAQ explains very important gameplay mechanics, one of them being the option to press X in dialogue options as a middle ground or do nothing type of choice. That mechanic is very important in some scenarios and people were constantly asking what to do, so, hence the forced FAQ reading. pressing X at the "Are You Over a certain Age" Question shows you have read the FAQ.(And in my opinion, subtly jokes about the fact that "Are You Over a certain Age" questions never actually stop anyone from doing want they want to do) All of that aside, This game is an RPG mostly focused on story and gameplay with a decent amount of erotic content thrown in. If your just looking to "goon and go" this game probably isn't for you. there are a lot of secrets and rewards for those willing to look for them and almost no hand holding. think of a classic RPG but with Erotica thrown in. If all of that is something your not interested in trying then, your welcome for saving you.
hit the orb to the east of your position then, go up to the north east orb. at least I think, I don't quite remember. to be honest I just brute forced the options until it worked, it doesn't take that long to do that.
From my understanding it can't be soft locked that way.

I suggest searching and killing everything on all maps you have access to before continuing the main story, you will find most of the secrets and loot that way. You will also be over leveled , making killing everything after the initial grind less of a chore because you destroy everything. What I'm going to say next isn't really a spoiler, but it is a very detailed step by step guide to min-maxing the very early game. if you've made it to the forest puzzle above you should be fine, but if any of that sounds like something you don't want to hear don't read any further!

I brute forced this puzzle for more than 15 minutes, I lit up all lanterns and the old guy is still inaccessible, what do I do now?
I think the point of the puzzle is to light up the lantern between the two crosses. Though sadly I have never been able to figure out how to do it myself. Out of all the guardians of the shrines he is the only one I have not fought. The fact that you are even allowed to skip this one tells me all I need to know about how hard this one is intended to be. Yet it is so damned frustrated. Honestly hoping someone will figure out how the hell to open it one day. I know if I ever figure it out I will post the screenshots.
I haven't made it that far in the game yet, but I will give it my best shot when I do.
Do you know where the pond is? It is fairly easy to find, just look to the left after leaving Augalamh.

I don't mind an FAQ even if I find it worthless since nearly every RPGM game I've played is practically the same gameplay wise, I mind when it hinders the experience. "I'm over 18">game starts, not "I'm over 18", try and force feed me the FAQ like it's a fetish then figure out the command to properly start the game>game starts.Yes I turn off tutorials in every game I play with the option to do so, so at very least it should be a simple yes or no question. I'll just watch the thread and see what happens in future updates
I'm not sure what you are watching out for?. The game is very far along in development at this point, and has many tens of hours of gameplay.(with almost every situation having multiple ways to get through it) You seem very upset about the forced FAQ reading, which I can somewhat understand. I will say it is very short and the only really important part explains the mechanic I mentioned earlier but, I agree that there is a better way to make sure players learn it. This game isn't like almost any other RPGM game on this site, so , I let it slide. Sierra Lee's The Last Sovereign has similar game design, if you've played it. ( I don't mean the forced reading of a text document) I think it would be a shame to give it a pass before at least trying it, but you do you.

If you do it this way people can find the specific trophy they are having trouble with, without spoiling one they want to try on their own.
I have gotten the trophies 7, 8, 12, 13 and 16 that you missed. I haven't played past 16 yet and was waiting to get a bit further before posting my own trophy guide. Would you like me to go ahead and post it now? I don't mind.
