I just noticed that they're updating the game with the JAST translation version which is crappy as fuck

search the file on internet, or re download the game, but i'm no expert.
Edit : Maybe your antivirus can delete the file too.

I am playing the game on winlator apk on my samsung tablet and the text looks like this. How do I fix this?

I can't currently download it, but did you copy the MS Gothic.tff to C:\windows\Fonts\ and restart Winlator?
EDIT: And also set the locale to japanese?

Add an environmental variable LC_ALL with the value ja_JP.UTF-8. However your wine installation will change to japanese until you remove the variable...
