There was someone else with that problem, but I have no idea what causes it. However, you could try the DirectX 9 thing:
FYI, you can use quotation marks in .bat files to execute "man of the house.exe".

@Faerin I finally had time to play V0.6.1.
Things are heating up pretty nicely. Fashion show and the 2nd Ashley and Sophia event were awesome! Also the newmom... pardon, landlady event chain was pretty hot.
I used the included 100% save to play and noticed 2 things:
1. For some reason the lingerie message from Ashley gets triggered when approaching the living room at 21:00; shouldn't happen since the pictures are already unlocked
2. You forgot to put the new alarm clock into the inventory! Had to go to the mall and buy that bloody thing. *insert-shaking-my-fist-gif-here*
There is a question I wanted to ask you for some time but somehow always forgot. Will the bikini choice for Ashley matter at some point in the future?
