Playing this on steam deck the animations stops after one second, same game, same save file it's just fine on PC windows. Anyone has any idea why does it do that?

The videos were not optimized to play on the Steam Deck. This game was released almost 3 years before the Steam Deck was released.
9 is the movie quiz, you need to get a perfect score for that one.

The walkthrough is outdated and obsolete, as it was never updated before going to Steam. The only things that do work in it are the dates.
I purchased the mac version from a website other than steam but can’t remember the name. Does anyone remember it?

Check to make sure all of your achievements (except General #16) are at 100%.
Make sure Ashley's jealousy and Claire's suspicion stats are maxed (5 each).
If you have anything to complain and want it to be removed (since having it being corrupted that would be a good reason), you have to report the OP.
The ldx repacks are quite common, it's also known that these are installers for the game because they get extracted. Maybe that one got corrupted. It can also be it got corrupted while downloading (or rather while it's being saved to your pc) or from your antivirus.
The instructions also say:
As I wrote that answer, I am downloading the compressed version, too, just to test, if it's really corrupted or if the problem is on your end
Will edit my answer soon, just to confirm if it's working here or if I get the same error.
edit: here is my edit, as promised.
As you can see in my screenshot: It installed flawlessly. You might really want to try to disable antivirus on your system for the installation. After that, you can just re-enable it and play the game normally.

Nevermind, I've already downloaded and installed the normal version of the game. I don't understand why an installer is needed if the original game is simply unpacked by an archiver. I suspect that the installer embeds some files, maybe even malicious ones, into the system. We do not support repacked versions, as we treat it no differently than a game/save/cheat mod, since it is not an "official" version of the game. As for compression, being a Unity game, this is as compressed as it will get.
