@RWaites I had a unique bug because I never did the job at the gym or discovered the casino, so it wasn't allowing me to finish the date, it would always lead to awkwardly standing outside, then just taking a cab home. The scenes that were missing from the date were the girl from the gym the mc recognizes and since the casino location was never discovered so you can't take a cab there. I fixed it all with a little grinding though.

I figured out the problem. It's the ffdshow system tray icon. I've updated my procedure with a way to get rid of it - turn off the system tray icon in ffdshow video configuration. I've also simplified the winetricks line, installing ffdshow instead of allcodecs.Glad I could help get it going on Mac as well
I have not used WINE on Mac, is there no way to disable winegstreamer on it? I am sure this will disable that popup and the game will behave normally.
@Faerin might want to add our guides running via WINE on Mac and Linux to the first post so it is easy to find, its not till pretty far in the game that these crashes occur.

Yes, I forgot about ffdshow as I already had it installed. I always run "wineboot -u" just to make sure the updates are applied, its not always necessary.

Am I the only one not feeling the animations? It'd be one thing if it were a game in a 3D environment like The Twist where you have free reign with the camera during most of them but it's the same problem I have with other games that implement animations where the scenes just aren't nearly as appealing or hot as a few good quality renders could be. That could change maybe if there were multiple angles they could be viewed at I guess.

So, I have the same problem that Veronica's bedroom scene that is supposed to occur after Special value=8 is not triggering. However, my current special value does equal 8 for NPC 3 and her arousal level is above 20. My phone lists "Something about spying on her in her bedroom, just really turns me on." So, everything meets the requirements. I just can't figure out what has gone wrong. Any advice?
Update: NVM I finally ran across the fix. You have to search for no_panties flag in your save game and change the value from 0 to 1. Success.
