So the title sounds like mankind but Mannkind is a (nonexistent) german word and means man child. Hmmm.

I'm aware of the slight oddity of the Elizabeth 2 figure (the one with the light tubes in her hair) but I'm not sure I see the problem you speak of elsewhere. Wilma is supposed to look like a 3D anime person, and Daphne is an android.

The problem with the samples is that they are not the ones I would choose. Darkwold2055 lifted my post and reposted it under his own name, and he chose the samples. (Why he did this I don't know; I haven't got an answer on my DM to him yet. He also improperly added the 'animated' tag.)
If your sample picks look better I'll reevaluate. But as MissFortune points out, only picking the most appealing sample images when they're not representative of the whole game isn't ideal either.

I think the dev should at least be able to decide which images to pick. Imagine someone taking a pic of you sneezing or some shit and using that one for the company homepage or something.

Kid: "Dad, is the monster on the screen going to get us?"
Dad: "Yes, my child. Be afraid, be very afraid."

I would certainly appreciate any constructive criticism you might have in this regard. What do you find lacking in the renders?
Have you not noticed the hair with that character? You can even see her skull in this image:

Yet in a previous image she does not appear to be balding:

I can agree with that. At the same time, "this isn't the render I wanted to show you" is a poor defense of a criticized render that's actually in the game. It's perfectly fair to put your best foot forward, but if someone's seen your worst foot you can't very well pretend that one doesn't count.

After looking at the preveiw picks and reading the posts about them. Overall The Models could be worse, Go all the way back when the #D Models came out in games. They all looked cartoonish, some with freakishly large proportions as in Guerilla length arms with Giant length legs and vice cersa. While some of these, well what am I saying all of them looks bad inb this came. Everyone has their own opinion of what looks good and looks bad. There is no real need to put the Developer of the game to shame here. They are putting the creative mind to use.
I may not play this game or many of the games on here but I will say I must give everyone who attempts such things of creating a story and trying to make something enjoyable. It takes a certain skill and creative mind to make art. Some art is good to some people some is bad to others.

Developer:

I applaud You for trying to put something.....a vision you have in your mind and putting out in public. Keep up the spirit.

You can say the samples aren't ones you would choose...

I'd argue Genesis has realism down for Daz models, especially with Iray. Comparatively speaking, at least.

Freckles and/or imperfections don't equal realism. They exist, sure, but realism includes everything from facial shape to iris size to hair, all the way down to body shape. Then there's lighting and postwork. All of which play a role in realism. Can you say with a straight face that the Genesis model on the right is less realistic than the model on the left? Not at all. The hair looks like bacon and the lips look like a bird trying to fly, which are (hopefully) not at all representative of real-life models. It's fine if you prefer using them, but calling the above (or anything in the sample renders) realistic is a stretch.
Firstly, in my original post, I did not include sample images. I thought about it, but elected not to. This was the first step in weeding out the superficial types who are only looking for eye candy and wank material. They won't find it here, because this is not a porn game! It's a science fiction novel, presented in VN format, that includes adult content.
I think the woman on the right looks plastic, and her shoulders are too narrow for her head. Daz has always been pretty good at faces—I'll definitely give them that—which is why Victoria supplanted Posette as the standard way back in the Poser 4 era. I haven't tried the G8 version, but everything up to that really sucked for bending. Last I saw they were still trying to correct the problems with weight mapping. JCMs do the job much, much better, but they don't like using those for some reason.

Dev found this game in his desk from 1990, his perverted ancestor wrote it.
You're welcome to try to do better. (Actually, it would be pretty amazing to find something anywhere near my VN from 1990. CGI wasn't too impressive back then.)

It looks more like she stood on the side of the road and got splashed by a car who drove in a muddy puddle.
I cannot stress this enough people. Put a splatter screen on the fucking pan when frying bacon, gheesh!
