The only way to bypass it is to update the game. There's a patch for it on Steam.
For anyone having black screen on 37 day when main hero go to work, before launching the game, CHANGE YOUR TIME FORMAT TO JAPANESE, at least purely for this section of the game. I don't know if others time formats will do, but japanese definitely is working.
Try to raised her affection, like go to the shopping mall or go to the zoo or even go to the shower(if available) to your button.
From what I've read and seen so far, this is a bit too grindy for my limited schedule. Can someone share their completed save for the rest of the class?
