Finally, i managed to beat it on madness legit! Also managed to get the true ending on it.
Where's the save location? if anyone wants it.

yeah sure i think the save should be in appdata

C:\Users\[username]\AppData\LocalLow

I really like this game a lot (for the story lmao). I keep coming back to it every once in a while.

Recently I swapped to linux and I have been able to get the game to run through bottles, but it defaults to the Japanese language and pressing the language dropdown in the settings just opens a blank and un clickable box. I'm sure it's trying to reference something in the game files but not being able to because of the emulator. I know it's a long shot but if anyone has any ideas I would be grateful. Rest of the game seems to work fine btw, I just can't read moonrune.

Edit: got the game working in English. For those interested;
installed wine by running the following in the terminal:

sudo dnf install wine

Then right click wherever your MARIONETTE.exe is and open in terminal.
Then to run it enter this into terminal:

wine start MARIONETTE.exe

The version of wine in my bottles is probably a bit outdated or something.

Man this game is such a treasure! I'm glad I get to play it again and actually understand what is being said! I wish that the dev would make Marionette 2 or something. No other game in this genre has such polished graphics, and the story is peak writing.
