I wish I could like Jenn and Collen they would be 2 of my favorites after Devon and Kywu if there wasn't some things that hold me back from liking them. Like how distant and cold Colleen seems to act after the movie date and the live performance really turns me off from her character. Then with Jenn the coma thing really feels weird and I feel only a GF that didn't care for their ex boyfriend would move on that quickly after he was in a serious accident. Lets say she didn't know he was in a coma ( which I doubt because of Todd) she did at least think he was dead and avoided talking to him until they happen to run into each other at the pink box.I feel like previews before update gave the wrong impression about how certain scene will play out, but I am not angry about being fooled a little especially since it was just a suspicion. The scene mentioned was still super hot and I enjoyed the lewd conversations through the game just as much. There are so many awesome sluts in this game, everywhere I look I see wife materials!
My current faves:
Devon (because we can establish relationship and because she got that reluctant vibe about her earlier so now she feels corrupted instead of already established slut)
Jenn (MC's ex, them splitting was just a misunderstanding, they could get back together)
Teresa (need I say more? amazing girlfriend who cheats, just wish she was my girlfriend not someone else's)
Debbie (I think it's extremely hot how Bob already managed to train her into sleeping with others while initially seeming like the innocent bookworm, and I see a huge potential in her sluttified appearance with some dress-up and haircut change)
Colleen (I can fix her)
I think Todd and Jenn are more like 7 weeks ahead. Zachs decision for a free year, one or two weeks later the accident, three weeks hospital and two or three weeks rehabilitation. That is enough time to be familiar with the college. Todd seems to be, similar to Charlie, Hugh and Zach, heir of a family. But Zach is the only heir in the dark. In addition Kyuw implied that Jenn lied about her job to Zach. Todd and Jenn are in the know, how long, what we dont know.Yea like I mentioned before the timeline in this game doesn't make sense, it feels like the MC was in a 3 years coma, not 3 weeks, the way things are with both Jenn & Todd doesn't feel like the MC haven't seen them in a few weeks but an extensive amount of time, how come both of them are already so settled in this new college? Its been a month total, they shouldn't know everyone, have talked to everyone, Jenn already working at the Pink Box, and Todd knowing enough Charlie and the Pink Box to be aware of anything going wrong, at this point my assumption is the Dev originally intended for a 3 years time gap, but decided to rectify it because it wouldn't make sense for them to be still somewhat attending the same courses and stuff.
As for the Nurse, considering that she clearly identify his supposedly ex-girlfriend that never visited by her nickname, either the Dev was utterly plastered when making that scene and never reviewed it afterward, or its intended to be a slip up from someone that know better. So I'll assume its still meant to be a hint otherwise it mean the Dev has never reviewed what they said ever, while their are other inconsistencies, those tend to be various scattered scenes, so different points in the making process.
Well like I said previously the only way Jenn makes any sense is if she was forced to break up with him and whore up to some degree. Their is clearly some mysteries involving everything related to the MC and some shady stuff related to the Pink Box, so my theory was that his father possibly wanted his son to walk in his footsteps and become a playboy, so things were arranged so that she was pushed to break up in exchange she would get a very lucrative job at the Pink Box, effectively trying to make her 'tainted good' for the MC so he wouldn't get back with her instantly when he'd be going to the college.
Likely telling her he'd take her back after he came to the college if she went along with it, its why when the MC see her at the Pink Box and talk with her, if the MC basically turn his back on her after he leave she start crying, she expected they'd be able to restart their relationship to some degree, and when it didn't happen is broke her up because what she was led to believe ended up being proven wrong. Its the only sorta way to explain how she became a slut so fast, yet she is still very much into him. Although it still doesn't explain why after seeing her and being fucked by him she is straight already going back to a client minutes later, it doesn't make sense, already jumping back in minutes after dealing with the MC? If you accepted her she should be pretty much too spent to go along with it, if you rejected her how come she went from crying to fucking a client so fast? Its insane.
The only way to make this story remotely justifiable at this point is if their is some sort of secret super aphrodisiac drug around to justify why everyone around this damn place are all horny fucks with the most shocking proportion of kinks, like I said previous this must NTS, sharing, swinging is insane, its not a kink that the majority of the population possess no matter how much the hardcore fans might think, yet in this game everyone seem fine with it and eagerly pursuing it, the only way to have that make sense is saying the entire campus and club is basically affected by a sort of airborne super aphrodisiac that drive everyone to those lengths.
I mean if the game was merely about the Pink Box, yes in context it would make sense for everyone attending such a sex club to share similar kinks, but an entire college too? What? No way. You'd expect a more diverse spread of kinks, not just NTS. It would have made more sense if some of the people just cheated on one another, but for them to be all into sharing / swinging is over the top. And yes 'this is a game about sharing' sure but you can make a game about sharing without giving it a background that shouldn't be compatible to that mindset.
Well the problem I do suffer from is I have a significant difficulty is suspending my disbelief, I sorta lost that capability about a dozen or so years ago, which coincidentally also align with me being unable to watch most movies and TV shows, if you think I complain alot here, you have seen nothing, I rant about virtually every entertainment media in this day and age because I have become hyper critical and thus incapable of really suspending my disbelief.I think Todd and Jenn are more like 7 weeks ahead. Characters are capable to lie, to feel guilty or to be professional.
Are you familiar with the suspension of disbelief?
Fiction and reality bend not to the same rules.
A dragon in lord of the rings, believable but not real.
A BMW in lord of the rings, unbelievable but real.
Sorry to hear, ecapism is so important for the wellbeing.Well the problem I do suffer from is I have a significant difficulty is suspending my disbelief, I sorta lost that capability about a dozen or so years ago, which coincidentally also align with me being unable to watch most movies and TV shows, if you think I complain alot here, you have seen nothing, I rant about virtually every entertainment media in this day and age because I have become hyper critical and thus incapable of really suspending my disbelief.
However like you said I got some circumstantial capability to suspend my disbelief, magic for example is pretty much a 'do whatever the fuck you want' card... well within reason, I can handle Elminster's shenanigans fine, but something like DBZ level of 'some dude blow up a planet with his power' well cause my brain to trainwreck at the notion any living being could wield such power. But yea Dragon in LotR is fine, BMW would make me rant.
I am a firm believer that everything in a narrative should remain within the realm of the believable for the setting, if you need something that break that sense of being believable, figure a way to make it believable, its not a unreasonable asking. Their are ways to engineer a story to make believable a ton of stuff, until you reach such a deep end you basically have to introduce magic into it to compensate for the lack of alternative to make it believable.
Like I said this story as some flaws in term of that, and like I said one is that it feels like the MC has been in a significantly longer coma to explain the knowledge, actions and relationships that seem to have Jenn & Todd. It would take a few minutes for the Dev to expand the coma from 3 weeks to at least a year, without altering anything else about the narrative. As for how people behave, like I said all you need is at one point to explain how some drug has been going around the College and its neighboring community obviously coming from the Pink Box, that make everyone effectively far more horny and far more lose in term of personal relationships, and it pretty cover the weird behaviors the characters are having.
Considering all the thinking the Dev obviously put in the the plot, I don't see why they couldn't have gone the extra mile and just find a way to justify those few anomalous elements that exist within the story that they otherwise forgot to deal with in a way that make sense.
I mean sure if the two points I was making were major enough to require a significant added amount of efforts by the Dev I'd say sure its fine to not go thru that much effort, but like I said the timeframe one require a very small amount of efforts, just need to change the references to the timeframe. The other wouldn't even need to be already included in the storyline if you say its basically like the Pax from the Serenity film, a sort of airborne chemical that affect people's behavior in this case by stimulating their libido, diminishing their inhibition & making them more sexually flexible in term of partners it could just be referenced down the line and require no significant change to the narrative. I didn't ask for a 'magical crutch' or anything magical being added to explain things, just a small change to the existing story background and a small element added down the line to justify the characters behavior, both well within the realm of the believable.Sorry to hear, ecapism is so important for the wellbeing.
But that i dont get is the tendency to magical crutches.
The Setting is not our world, it is a porn world and plays in the city Nunya.
Why spend the energy, for a setting that is natural upscaled, to make a magical explanation?
Magic to force the fiction back to reality?
So you are saying you would rather have no explanations for anomalous behaviors than a believable explanation? Why would it feel cheap? Look I know porn games happen in a porn world, but notice that previously porn rarely had the scale of some of those VN in term of world, 'oh the pool boy is fucking the MILF', mostly the narrative affected at most a handful of characters within a very private setting. Now with VNs like this you have a much larger setting that seem afflicted by an anomalous behavior, those are porn worlds but still inhabited by humans, which should act and think in a manner exactly the same as our own, except with some more sexual shenanigans, but like I said before for example in this case you have large scale anomalous pattern of behavior in an environment which should not be prone to such behavior.tbh id hate it if they explain everyone is horny cause of some drug. Seen that in a few AVN's and it kind of just feels a cheap way of saying everyone is horny cause porn game. I rather that side of things would require some suspension of disbelief + porn logic.
Magic or space dust the title is irrelevant, it is a crutch. Porn is fiction, exaggeration of reality at best. The realisation without fiction or exaggeration required force. And you crave this force in from of magic or Scifi drugs. That is not a problem of suspension of disbelief, it is a problem of agency.I mean sure if the two points I was making were major enough to require a significant added amount of efforts by the Dev I'd say sure its fine to not go thru that much effort, but like I said the timeframe one require a very small amount of efforts, just need to change the references to the timeframe. Look the Dev could just say I can't be bothered, fine, I am just saying those two changes would make help making certain elements more believable, likely also tone down the reception of Jenn & Devon, because some people have been pretty bitchy about both, and thus providing some justification for their actions would help making them both more appreciable as characters, because if the Dev want both of those girls to be liked, they handled those characters poorly, Jenn is made out to have betrayed the MC, while many look at Devon as a slut, if the Dev doesn't care for those characters to be scorned like they are, those changes would help making their behavior more believable.

A story all about sharing which is happening in a swinger club, I could 100% believe everyone there share that same kink, a story about sharing where it seem virtually every characters are fine with it in but its happening in College isn't believable, no matter how sexually flexible College students are, you'd expect a majority of the guys to be against it, you'd expect some girls to straight up cheat, not all of them with seemingly willing partners to let them sleep around.
If the story had exclusively been around a handful of characters, like Todd & Misty, MC & Devon, and Jenn, and them sleeping around with one another, I could have found it believable, but with every students, teachers, school staffs, known parents, etc all seemingly involved? Its pushing hard on the barriers of the believable, if you had various of those people with various kinks I could have understood, but the fact everyone seem to share the same kink? It isn't remotely believable.
Yes and no. I was mostly talking about if you go with the drug idea then I rather it not be believable. To me that idea feels cheap cause porn game. At least i never seen it in an AVN where I liked it , which is why I said I rather it not happen at all and use porn logic + suspension of disbelief. So you are saying you would rather have no explanations for anomalous behaviors than a believable explanation? Scifi drugs? We have stuff that already do something vaguely similar to what I said, its not really some big stretch to have an airborne chemical that cause those effects in a sense its exactly what you say 'an exaggeration of reality' since its something to some degree that already exist but expanded upon. In terms of sexual partners the MC beats them all, no? The 1. Slut = MC then maybe the next 20 as well end then we can start with the girls?A lot of the girls kinda are.

Yes, another rabbit hole. Overdoses, adverse effects and so on. Thats why i ruled suspension of disbelief out. You are not criticizing rabbit holes you criticize whose flavor, that is tourism. And yes, a sharing porn fan plays a sharing porn game, obviously.Scifi drugs? We have stuff that already do something vaguely similar to what I said, its not really some big stretch to have an airborne chemical that cause those effects in a sense its exactly what you say 'an exaggeration of reality' since its something to some degree that already exist but expanded upon. Now your issue is it deprive the characters of their 'agency' but do they even have agency? They are characters in a story, they are already slaved to the will of the Dev. Now I can assume you are a fan of NTS & Sharing, probably that is the issue for you, if they are under the effect of something affecting their behavior, its not truly 'sharing'.
But at the same time, it wasn't like those characters actually chose to share their partners, 'God' aka the Dev chose it for them, so they don't have agency. The worst is like I repeatedly mention many of the characters are in acting in a way that is not normal, it doesn't feel like they organically achieve their decisions, rather it was forced upon them by an external force aka the Dev, regardless of how it doesn't quite mesh with how we see them think or act otherwise. So at least with the narrative of drugs / chemicals being used it would organically explain how this situation was achieve in a rational way outside of 'the Dev just chose for them', sure it make everything less 'hot' for the fans of sharing / NTS, but it makes it make more sense.
It reminds me of another game where the Dev supposedly has the narrative split between two paths NTR / NTS, however both are achieved via a magical effect, so its not really NTS that is for sure since any 'sharing' your character might do is under the effect of magic, so I argued there ultimately both are NTR since their is not going to be anything done truly consentually either way. Which is why I argued a bit upon the nature of the narrative overthere, and similarly how some flawed narrative decisions just made the entire thing less believable because of Dev induced decisions rather than organic development of the narrative.
Again like I said previously its not my fault the narrative here is flawed, if the entire story had been around the Pink Box and the whole College aspect had been merely a background element, I could have easily accepted all that sharing done between members and staffs of the Pink Box, but the Dev decided to expand it to the whole College thing and as I said developed a narrative which isn't believable within that part of the setting without some some pretty serious element to justify its deviation from the human norms. On a small scale such deviation are perfectly acceptable, but on a scale of basically a whole College campus, its clearly too much.
I mean I had suggested previously an entire secret community of sexually liberated individuals, which somehow took over control of that entire area, but even that reasoning is getting a pretty rough stretching when you face with the reality of all the students being in on it, do they somehow magically track down every potential students based on a kink? As if it was Harry Potter with that magical book of theirs? How could they even find their would be students kinks, corruption can only strain the believable so far, in particular when this include students that haven't been attending a full semester there yet.
Like I said if their had been more diversity in the mindset of the characters, I wouldn't be making such a fuss of this, but its every singular characters in the entire game that all have the NTS / sharing kink, in an environment where it shouldn't be by any stretch of imagination believeable for them to all be gathered together. Ironically I would make far less of a fuss if this was a Scifi or Fantasy game, even without magic or drugs, because I could accept such deviations due to societal divergeance, but in a modern world that seem largely akin to our own, I expect things to stick to a believable degree of similarities.
I mean sure I have let some modern stories get away with being unbelievable, typically when they don't have a real plot outside the most barebone structure to keep the porn going, except this is clearly not that, their is clearly a real plot beyond just pure porn, the Dev clearly trying to put hints to various elements of the plot and mystery all over, its not a game you just supposed to masturbate to, you are supposed to pay attention and notice things, which is why I had to replay some segments to catch those hints, so I expect if the Dev put that much effort into the plot for them to possibly want to be making the narrative more believable.
Their are two types of narratives when it come to VNs that make it here, porn with plot and plot with porn, one just provide enough narrative to keep fucking, while the other expect you to think about the story and used the porn to keep you interested. One is purely about lust, the other is about the entire gamut of emotions. This is clearly on the plot with porn end of the spectrum, yes the plot is centered to some significant degree on sexuality, but it doesn't mean it doesn't swing more on the plot end of the spectrum than the porn end of the spectrum.
i can imagine why. you have a sharing game that is surprisingly not about a couple starting to experiment with other people. it's about our MMC Zach who is the addon instead! girls like Aimee, Misty and Tess are in a relationship and get shared with the MC of the game. their entire dynamic is pre-existing or quickly established through off-screen decisions by the NPCs, whereas Zach only reaps the benefits. then suddenly Devon comes along and basically forces him into a relationship, which could mean Zach has to stop his past manwhore behaviour. she is a shift in gameplay narrative. of course that's gonna pose a threat to the likeability of the game. That's always a silly non-answer when someone asks if something's not avoidable. Though I can't myself imagine why anyone would want to avoid Devon.
besides the background details, i think the game is pretty inconsistent though. The entire Jenn plot needs to be revised to be consistent. At the beginning of the game, she broke up with the MC before the game even started because she didn't want a long distance relationship (apparently a subway ride is long distance) while he took a gap year before starting college. Later, the story changes to she moved on while he was in a coma and he somehow knows about it even though there is no mention of them talking since he didn't know she enrolled at Nunya Business until seeing her there. She also talks in a positive way to others about him during this time so much that Kyuw knows he wouldn't take advantage of a drunk Penny based on what Jenn has told her about him.
For a game with many mysteries and the attention to detail of things happening in the background of renders, this lack of consistency really stands out.
ETA: It is hard to tell with the mistakes made early on if the "nurse" knowing Jenn's name was a mistake or a clue.
