This game isn't like Badik its not a somewhat open game narrative and relationship wise, its a game with a specific narrative, clearly Devon is meant to be the MC girlfriend, what you call 'forced' I'd call the base story. You can play a manwhore and fuck every girls around but ultimately they are mostly there as side dishes, Devon is the main dish.
Personally I find the Devon sharing way too early. I feel sharing isn't something you'd do year 1 of a relationship, you need to have strong relationship before I feel something like sharing should be considered viable, I mean otherwise you barely started a relationship, your girl end up fucking some guy and he is better at sex, so she might just move over to him because your relationship is still fairly fresh and doesn't have a solid base to stand on, so even if you could be really great for one another it feel too risky.
So yea the MC sharing Day 2 of a relationship? Its way over the top, the fact Todd whined at the pool table if you don't let him touch Devon made me frown, its like, dude the MC and Devon have been officially in a relationship for less than 24 hours, hold your fucking horse. Personally I find this game to some degree on that domain to make no sense, the MC was in a 3 week coma... 3 week, not 3 years, yet his girlfriend after a mere 3 weeks had already said fuck this and has been in a relationship with seemingly multiple guys, working for a sex club, the fuck? Did she truly not give a crap, even if you say 'its college' ITS BEEN A MONTH. Any normal human being that were in a good relationship wouldn't have already moved on in a snap of fingers like this.
Your best friend got into a relationship that sounds as if they have been together for a while... but its like a month after the accident, how the fuck is he already in a solid relationship after less than a month, how come he already knows everyone around after a single month. It feel like the Dev originally wanted to have a bigger time skip but than realized Todd wouldn't be able to justifiably share class with the MC so decided to squeeze down the time skip without taking into account just how ridiculous the time frame for all those changes is.
Beyond that, I find the 'its college' excuse straining for this game, how come it seem every other guy has a NTS or NTR fetish? Seriously look at the entire list of guys and look at the entire list of those with that fetish and you cover at least half the guys in the story... whut? Seriously, can't a girl just cheat on her boyfriend? How come so many of them are fine with it or outright want it to happen? I mean how many girls not in a relationship does the MC fuck during the game... huh... outside Devon, maybe Penny & Chloe, the rest are all in a relationship, again the 'its college' excuse would fly a lot better if the girls were just not in a relationship and fucking around, yet so many of them seem to already be involved with someone.
Look I love Devon, but yea she is probably the only element that is keeping any interest in the game for me, so long as we can keep her for the MC, I'd rather let the others be the ones sharing and getting cucked not the MC, the guy already loss in a completely unrealistic fashion is girlfriend and his parents, whom for some reason left him with peanuts, I mean how much of a fucking ass you'd have to be to say 'hey if anything happen I'd leave 2k to our son and unless he attend a specific college and...' wait a minute... how come their is a specific about attending a specific college? Did they expect to die days before even joining college? What if he already had been going somewhere else? Were they just going to say 'fuck your previous studies, you now have to move to a new college?' or what about if he had been done with college? Did the father just keep updating his will to optimize being a jackass to his son? And what about the whole girlfriend thing? Most rich people if anything would be weary of potential gold diggers, yet here it seem some part of the inheritance is directly correlated to getting a girlfriend, huh... already? Just after they die? Didn't think he might have been fucked up psychologically for a while and not be in the mood for getting a serious girlfriend? Plus again he was heading to college, expecting a serious girlfriend to come about so soon? Its ridiculous.
