1 of the cool things about this game is there's *MANY* ways to Earn $$$---fighting, Crafting, (expanded in new, but scavenge/sort/sell possible in 810) Quests, Slaves (train, have THEM work!) , Teaching (need stats) Academy; Of course, selling stuff from above; (maybe more this is just off top of head)
--->>> The IDEAL way, depends on what you choose @ start, & you stats. Most things have Min Req stats; Pays to plan out your character!
My advince: Experiment. Try several different options/routes, see which you like, what works best. This game is like Glassix---IMPOSSIBLE to experience everything in 1 playthrough.
Oh yea!

I totally agree there! 1st, off, [haven't gotten that far in 811, but nothing in changelog] she costs a *FORTUNE*, but yet has NO reward! :-( (breaking her's a pain, some might see that as a reward, but not me) Earlier in Questline talks about selling her to Kymoto (sp) "set for life" [$? this isn't clear] but after you buy her there's nothing more!
2nd, whether you Dom OR submit to her, [why would you buy an EXTREMELY expensive slave, a known criminal & murderer, & then let her control your?!?] the options are STILL the same! sucks. Option to sell back or advance @ Kymanto, sounds best & makes most sense, but again, nothing further.
3rd, if you DO follow the quest (almost doesn't matter if you break her, doesn't even drop her WP if you DO give in!) you're 1) attacking a prison camp, 2) assisting Rebels, & 3) Going AGAINST the Mastersphere, which Kymanto (assuming you joined) is not supposed to do! At the very LEAST, you'd likely have a bunch of Space Marines or Black Guards beating down your door when you got back!

Anyway, hopefully have better Questline/ending in future updates?
Well, the basic idea of being a slaver, making money by training slaves, and then get this super challenge slave that will level you up to "slaver in good standing". This is perfection. So far, the actual implementation is not perfection. So, my next run, I just go with what is, do her quest.
If you read the Forgotten Realm series about Drizzt Dourden, where the world of the dark elves are introduced, these diabolical, super competitive, noble houses, act within a set system that is still chaotic. If that is the model for these slaver houses, then it works to support these jungle rebels. Personally, I am happy if I just get a level up after selling her back to Kmiora(?) after breaking her.
But the ideal alternative, would be to keep her as pet slave, completely hateful, completely broken, and show her off to the other masters. That is the completion of the idea that spawned her in the first place. She as a noble and worthy and strong opponent rebelling to this terrible system we represent. And then breaking her enough to perform for it, but no matter what we do to her she remains outside it, being a bench of reference, a mirror where we can either see our triumph or our horribleness, depending on your perspective. Each time I make her demeaned pleasure slave at a party for the elites at the expensive restaurant I get prestige, but there is some subtle phrase in the writing that almost puts a mirror to what I am doing.

Now, being a good developer AND being a brilliant observer of the human condition, Grimdark has done this better than most. But attention can only be spread so thin. So let us be constructive and service minded in our criticism?

Thanks! Fixed.

Blacksmith increases are very random in the latest update. Will do some modifications to that script, though.

Expect a hotfix/smaller content release (0.8.1.1b) coming in a couple of days.

actually, WP doesn't matter; Her quest is assigned when you 1st speak to her, you can do it @ any time [BUT HAVE GOOD COMBAT TEAM! Tough enemies!!!] WP can be hi low or negative (broken) May take more than 1 attempt. (mult groups of enemies; If it does, still possible, but each trip can be expensive so have some $$.)
That's not her main quest, there's more after you rescue her team.

811 Question (sorry if someone covered this already)

Mercs; Old ones are all now gone! (even Ansel's different) Ok, Peasant's still there, [hey older pic was better] but all others are gone;
Wiki mentions:
  • Armand
  • Enya
  • The Black Guard
  • Space Marine (had 1 earlier, but he's not there anymore)
So, where do we find them? Haven't tried new in 811, but many tough fights need those good mercs! (even w combat armor, they can die)
Armand is at the bank in Crystal Heights. Enya is outside the Arena. To get the Black Guardsman hang out at Divine Juices in Watery Eyes and buy some drinks etc and you'll hear about him. The Space Marine is in Hamah Bay now.

Can anyone help please? I had Aiko and Doyle in my party before the update but now they're gone, and I can't find them anywhere
Aiko, Doyle and most other mercenaries were removed as he improves the follower system. They'll be back soon, currently the Space Marine, Black Guardsman, Ansel, Loren, Enya and Armand are available.

Regarding Aria, I always thought that acquiring such an expensive slave and then simply sharing her does not make any sense from a fiscal or monetary perspective. From a detached, materialistic perspective, the continuous usage of items degrades its market value. If you acquire Aria and then just send her to work the streets, you are actively degrading the value of the highly expensive unique slave you just acquired

Imagine if you paid $$$ for a Lambo and then turned it into an Uber or lent it to friends. You are degrading the market value of your car. That's why in both my dominating and "loving" route, Aria is MC exclusive only.

I wish others would acknowledge you holding such a high status slave, which would give you a continuous stream of prestige, right now, everyone reacts like if she was like any other slave girl, not someone who almost overthrew the governing system of the world they live in.

Training Aria is also not that hard, it just requires patience, and eventually she will break. I was hoping for it to be nail-biting hard, with many events and unexpected consequences involved in her training, for example, her fellow rebels from the forests attacking your house trying to free her, and depending on your dominance/depravity/love stat the attempt can end in different ways.

Another event could be that if left unchecked, she could be formatting rebellion in your house and which will culminate in a confrontation. Training her should be hard and have more events, right now it requires patience and a big dick.

I really like the idea of Aria as a slave, a Katniss Everdeen style rebel, but I feel its concept is underutilized at the moment imo. She is according to grim, a secondary "protagonist" of the world, and the MC can crush her, or join her.

I fully agree. She, as she is right now, isn't even that bad of a slave. Caitlin is 10x as hard to deal with and her quests have multiple costs and time waits built in before you can even get her to Loving+ so Feminist trait doesn't screw you (I assume you can break the quest early, but not only is that lame, the final reward for seeing it all through is substantial). Meanwhile, Aria just wants you to go help her kill some people and both before and after she's pretty business about it.

If you approach Aria from a regular person's perspective, she's probably someone most normal people would support. The Spheremasters are not good overseers. They're basically the definition of a noble class oppressing others. In fact, it should be in the main character's best interest to take them down, especially if they start with the past where you've been made a target of one. Taking down the Spheremasters increases the main character's power. Breaking Aria only really removes her as a threat for your decadent rich overseers. They gain the most from it.

It does seem GrimDark is more of less writing her in that direction, where the two of you marry and create a legacy that directly opposes the Spheremasters.

I do think, if he intended to write her as such, her ending up not actually being as much of a pain in your ass as everyone said she would be was intended. She likely played the part of a hard to deal with and innately disobedient woman because it ensured she'd always be seen as a threat and reduce who would be able to deal with her, if anyone would even attempt to. And as we see when she gets to your home and away from prying eyes, she's not nearly as hard to deal with as you were told, and is actually open to creating a temporary arrangement. Though even that she rethinks once her and the main character get closer and she begins to view you as a potential ally.

Re: MoR_0811(Public), some first impressions:

- nerfed TV-nights. No issid interactions and only main slot slaves get a bit happiness from them (fx. in case MC succeeds with his jokes). Second slot slaves seemed to get nothing, so no need to bring them in anymore.
- Preacher's Pond nerfed. No need to stop there anymore. (30 minutes saved time if MC is still going strong.)
- camping second upgrade: Folks have asked sex in tent - I was one of them - so thanks a lot for those mules behind the tent, I guess. (The apprehension in their eyes when my MC takes out the lube.)
- slaves are still ok, I know how to keep them happy. Issids crave too much every day attention, IMHOP, so I regretfully let them go as soon as I get the slaves trained and geared. (I rehearsed with Loren. Nice girl, quite a beauty, but couldn't take night shifts as a guardian. Might be a tradition with the Ikaanos cutthroats to attack only during day-time, dunno. Unfortunately I choose to disbelieve that, so in my eyes a day-time only guard is not much guard.)

I'm really enjoying this game
but Crafting skills are such a waste of time and money. It takes 3 hours to make a $50 combat knife and 6 hours to make a $150 sword, which is not even worth the cost of the materials. The speed of skill rising is very slow.
Therefore, buying weapons and armor is much easier and more convenient than crafting them.

Another perspective is acknowledging that not only does a slave-girl not degrade in value as they're used, they gain experience and skills and actually appreciate in value. Regarding your Lambo example it would not surprise me to find out there's a significant percentage--if not an actual majority--of Lamborghinis that are owned by upscale rental and leasing agencies (much like limousines are) as the number of people who could afford one for a day or two as a special treat greatly outnumbers the amount who could afford paying for one outright along with the maintenance and insurance required.

I too think of Katniss Everdeen when encountering Aria, but personally I always wanted to see the X-rated, BDSM version of the Hunger Games. In this world imagine leading Aria in to an exclusive party on a leash wearing nothing but her collar, cuffs and 'Do Me' perfume. She has a playful smile on her face and she's wiggling her naked teen-aged ass that she knows will soon be gangfucked as you announce to the assembled multitudes that the dangerous rebel has been tamed and will be putting on a show dancing for them all, and naturally will be available afterwards to satiate any desires her squirming on stage generates. All should also know that (of course) she's on the cum diet now and to let her eat it if she's a good slut for them as it's all she'll be getting for dinner tonight. If she's anything less than completely pleasing make her lick it off the floor while we take the lash to her used and abused ass to help train her up as premium fuckmeat.

Even better, this is all a ruse (in part at least) to get me access to the circles that control that Ion Cannon which can be trained on my house and turn my burgeoning little empire into ash like blue bolts from heaven. As long as that weapon exists I don't feel safe, thus I'm more than happy to help Aria and her friends destroy it and am more than willing to make some reforms to make squirming, squealing sluts safer. Some have a problem with slave-girls having some rights but I'm not among them. I figure we humans offer protections to dogs and other pets and it would be natural to extend some of those protections to slave girls, who should have the right to be free of being murdered, mutilated or maimed. In fact I don't really like the idea of a woman (or a man for that matter) being a slave for life anyway, the idea of a 30 year-old slave girl makes me sad, I just want 3-5 of those absolutely *delicious* years from 18-25 when they're at the most smoking hot and least able to fend for themselves and might need some....guidance. After they've served their term they ought to have some maturity and skills, a little money to get started and no matter what will know intimately how to please a man (or women) so they'll have definite value and no doubt some contacts.
