Ah well that answers that question. I also had a slave in my party but assumed it was the mercs.That's odd, Mercs shouldn't cause that. Slaves do, if you have them in your party. Which mercs do you have?

Yeah, it happened to me when I had a slave that was both unarmed and unarmored which was confusing. As I understand it from Grim's explanation, it's due to an old system for acquiring slaves that would prevent you from doing it if you had followers. Slaves in your party are tagged as followers, while mercs aren't, i guess? Grim said he'd rework it someday.Ah well that answers that question. Yes, just set their job before transferring them into the annex. If a slave has a job or is attending classes or any other daily activity, they will continue to do so once moved to the annex. I think there is a penalty applied to income earned by slaves in the annex, but I also think Grim was considering removing or lessening it so i'm not 100% sure what the deal is with that.Is it possible to have slaves that are in the annex to have jobs?
That would make life so... so much easier.
I agree. I'm going to copy this to the discord #suggestions channel so it wont get buried.Having a few actions be impossible can be fine (as long as it's not too many), it just has to be clearly communicated. Losing the Failed Charm roll line (maybe replacing it with something like The woman seems immune to your Charm) would solve the issue for me.
come on man, LOL. there the age/legal disclaimer, then a 5 sec intro screen before you get to the load game button. the man wants his game to have some style and class. let him have it!Some laudable things about this one - good interface for a HTML game for one - but before getting into anything else: for the love of all that's holy; just give me an instant "LOAD" button and don't waste my time on some irrelevant intro sequence that's not even instant ^^;
Same here. Up until this point, I'd never subbed to a patreon or anything like that. There's some great games out there, but I never felt like it was worth it.I'm actually really tempted to sign up for the subscribestar for this. I don't even have a SS account and only ever signed up for 1 other game's Patreon as it is.
I've spent an assload of hours the past couple of days on this. It has a shitload of potential.
Style is fine, but it shouldn't go over convenience. And it's just a 100% unnecessary wait, there's absolutely no reason for that game to have a load time. And to have a start menu and then a disclaimer and then a game menu.come on man, LOL. there the age/legal disclaimer, then a 5 sec intro screen before you get to the load game button. the man wants his game to have some style and class. let him have it!

Anyway, not saying it's the end of the world, just saying it's an unnecessary nuisance.
talked to Grim on discord. your point made sense. he made the adjustment alreadyStyle is fine, but it shouldn't go over convenience. Yes, there's a few of them on here even.ever seen an indie solo dev respond that quick? i havent.
its all good man. im biased, i know it. LOL. enjoy the game.Yes, there's a few of them on here even.
... look, I know that sounds kinda ungrateful or something, and I'm kinda debating whether I should even say anything. But I feel I got to defend the other devs
It's appreciated. Listening to feedback and reacting to it is positive. But let's not overblow this tiny change, okay? The reason I suggested it in the first place was that it takes about 30 seconds to do in Twine (c&p load link to the correct passage, done).
And I've posted similar things to other games on here and generally the reaction was the same and not all the suggestion were as simple as this one. Devs typically do try. But even beyond that, I know a few Steam early access games where you can bother their solo dev at any point with something - well, aside from when they are sleeping. With some of them I'm frankly worrying they are doing it too much for their own good ^^;
Anyway, that is all; now to actually play a bit more of the game to have something to say about that part
The current ageing system is a bit wonky at times. This will be addressed in the slave revamp update (0.8) with the implementation of birthdays and the preparation for The Legacy Update.Is it just me or do people age a little fast? Had a slave who was 19, 150 days in my house later she's 21.
No, seriously, this was nothing. As you say, it took me less than a minute.Yes, there's a few of them on here even.
