let me clear some things up
the quote from i received from the modder the developer talked to was this:
"It would be very, very appreciated if you refrained from posting incest patches in the open forums. It can potentially mean a catastrophic blow to the MoR franchise - which could in a worst case scenario hamper further progress of the game. Moderators here are very prone to add those patches on the front page. If Patreon sees that, I might be in trouble."
the code that person was using altered the check for age as well as relation which would have broken rule 7 on the forums.
quick edit: i don think the age check was completely removed but i understand the developers concern when those checks are altered.
So basically making the i_patch without removing age restriction would make 0 negative impact.
The part: "
If Patreon sees that, I might be in trouble" is made up. 1st - patreon employee monitoring f95? Yeah, right. 2nd - they have no right to punish the developer for 3rd party mods. They can't prosecute creators for random modder's activity on a random website. They can't hold game developers accountable for something they have no control over and and there is no way to prove otherwise. I browsed through patreon policies and nothing like that is mentioned there.
GD-studios, it goes without saying, no wonder you were unhappy when the person that made the i_patch also removed age restriction, it's something that shouldn't be tolerated. But as for i_patch itself, there's no way anyone get's in trouble with it. And it's how it always has been.
P.S.
I remember the good old days when Patreon didn't even care for incest. STS, DMD and DOD hand unhidden incest and were published on patreon, lmao. And the only real reason they started to care is that they don't want do anything with questionable stuff . And it's the same thing - they cannot be held accountable for mods made by random people on third-party websites.
