I understand many of the traits are predetermined but the wiki doesn't show bratty as one for Felix so I wanted to check. it also says in some cases the traits are set when you first meet them and if I am not mistaken I read somewhere that they are locked when you enter the region for the first time not just speak to them and in my limited play time that seems to run true, without me being able to see the code (no PC atm is a pain, saving and waiting for team red GPU to improve). For example if you save before visiting Crystal Hills for the first time, then recruit Enya her traits only seem to randomise if you haven't been in the region, once you have visited the options seem locked with whatever they were when you first entered, so if I am correct you can get an RNG trait roll from your pre entry save, but not post entry.
There are preset traits, but there is a subtle variance to them of one or two that change on most if not all npcs. Not all I think some are absolutely locked. Felix isn't completely locked but I might be wrong, but like Bud, not sure if he changes bratty, Felix will always have bratty? I think you can roll a few others different in the mix. Ansel and Evelyn, had the same ones.
Regarding beauty, if I am correct it just seems to be a number on the screen if you don't intend to sell so I thought it made better sense to go for the intelligence for workshop, educator purposes for my first playthrough just to get a handle on what works. Although I don't know if +120 intelligence makes a difference for the foreman calculations but when I got 132 I wasn't saying no, I think it was +86 on the generator and as I went full business on my character it made more sense.
I use high Intelligence Stormchild and Int girl from the ring quest as mind educators. My three foreman are 100 Int now, educator doesn't go higher than 100 int. Discipline, all staff are at 100, except Talika 133 discipline, I am using the Akira guy the single swordsman from Stokkehills he started with 70 int, and Helo started at 60. I haven't educated the workermen, all workaholics all at 100 discipline. Int not got around to it on workemen. Educators are busy with other people, scavs, maids, and such.
Yes I agree on the pre save. I tend to do before entering areas and fights, as it seems that sometimes captured NPC's come with guaranteed Jaded or addict however many times you reroll and I just redo the fight as it's easier, especially as I have party animal and 3 jesters so far, I just need to build the jaccuzi but workshop first.
Thanks for the info, You and Clemency give nice info, even if you had a funny spat over Stormchild and yes I did get her from Crystal Hills, it was quicker for me to re roll to get a stormy day then go to Crystal Hills and I like to run different routes in my games to test what is optimum before diving in too deep, I have too many battle scars from games springing surprises and wrecking my playthrough I like the strategic parts of games and after over 40 year's of gaming (I remember when pong came out) I play for fun and empire building.

For the MC? It's one of those things that is highly dependent on how you play. Atheism gives you the most flexibility, while Aesir optimizes you for combat and allows you to fast track your followers' conversion to and gaining devotion for Aesir, which also gives them a very minor combat bonus.
Even for selling, there's a cap to the price. Alex keeps the slave price calculation updated in the wiki and the max beauty needed to get max price is 88. A 180 Beauty girl is just as valuable as an 88 Beauty one for selling.

I keep a good eye on the task log, and I don't remember seeing the golden papers quest in it. And considering that there were already questions about this quest in this thread, I came to the conclusion that the golden papers quest either has some unusual conditions or is not available in the latest versions.
Are you sure? According to the wiki, there should be 4 quests to choose from in the tavern.
It doesn't show up in Divine Juices and it is the cybernetic freebooters one I misremembered. They got a book you loot after killing them. Read said book and it automatically adds golden papers to your journal. It takes all of 2 minutes to finish.
the only instance i know that made full use of beauty is tavern prostitute. although to be fair, it add several other attributes and divide those by 4. so even if your npc have high beauty, they're unlikely to make a big difference, given the possible max beauty is 145 for npcs. and most will be capped at around 85-89.
