I am a bit confused by the job assignment system in the new 8.3.7 version. I want to assign new workers to my workshop IV (which has seven workers) but that option is greyed out for every character. An example is below:
Workshop.png

The time is 8:00Am (the earliest, from what I understand, hour of the day the MC can possibly wake up to). I can unassign workers but not assign them. Am I trying this at the wrong time of day? Is there now a lower limit on the number of workers that can be assigned to a workshop? Something else?

Rope is one of those things I'd remove in Raana 2 to slim down the gameplay. They are just a chore, too cheap to matter and yet can be frustrating if you forget about them.
And they can't be crafted. It would be convenient to create x500 ropes at once from fabric or textile.

Also, ropes together with leather could be used to create some types of slave harnesses.

Honestly it's more to do with the fact resources are only a thing in the early game when you are short on money. Same as bullets. In that stage, having enough money to buy bullets and rope and all the other stuff really does add to the challenge of the game in a fun way.

But once you hit the mid game and can earn 1000's a day just by catching and selling bandits they kind of become meaningless. In fact, money it self starts loosing value at that point because you are stuck between having way too much to worry about resources but way too little to casually buy the big stuff like power armor. But at least there is that something to save up for.

So I think the best solution for rope would be to just give us a bulk buy option for say x100 or x500 so as to keep the early game challenge but remove the mid-late game chore.

Workshop changes .

You can put up to 7 workers and 1 foreman. Now your workshop workers fit on exactly one page.

You can restore the old 10 worker workshop by setting "oldworkshop = true" in the console or savedditor.

1) I read somewhere here that 'occult powers' (for the mc) had been implemented (not just the occult skill - but some sort of abilities)
If I didn't misread and they are actually ingame - what version do I need & how specifically do I get them?

2) Does anyone know how to increase the number of troops at Fort Sera & the mines through the console?

And just to be blunt here. Workaholic is overrated. Don't get me wrong, it's nice to have especially early on or when you hit 70. But i never felt hindered by lack of workaholic ever. It's a nice option for a goal to pursue. Once i started raking in millions i decided to replace my workshoppers with workaholic ones but that's about it really.

The accountant comes with it.

Discipline itself is overrated to be honest. I've never seen low enough that it would matter and it's not needed otherwise beside the accountant role AND the nanny. But those are things you really only need one. A real good one.

I genuinely consider workaholic trait as a nice little boon to have and luxury goal to pursue when you ran out of issues.
Oh I agree workaholic is not mandatory but it's something that I want most of my people to have eventually. So for me it's more like ok how many people do I have to set up as a maid or janitor for like 3 years before I can do whatever I really want to do with them? I actually get more irritated if I have bad luck with the scavenger trait since that can't be trained.

I would much rather rely I uniques who I know can get it randomly (not all of them can) than just keep cycling through random scrubs until I find some who have it. I do usually end up taking a fair number of randoms who happen to roll workaholic for awhile to work in my workshops though. I tend to only use 1 workshop for a fairly long time but eventually the plan is always to ramp up to 2 or 3.

Been out since... I think two public versions ago. You have to do Prowler in the Depths Part 3, grab some books. Then you go to your library, read up the Kessian Manuscripts, and the Rite of Passage book. Detailed here in the wiki:

Grade A heresy. Trust in nothing but steel and gunpowder.

Idk if I have a memory problem or not, but I feel like the "Image Pack" download links weren't there before. So the question is, what does it do?

It came when the 0.8.3.4 alpha tier 4 version was leaked. You can use the images as desktop wallpaper.

Heh, didn't realise I had to go to the 'training' screen.
I've been reading books in the library 'cos it said that the book I picked up at the end of Prowler 3 was added to 'skillbooks'.
Thanks!

Okay the last one is definitely a joke lmao but thanks anyway
Not necessarily a joke. Those images are tier request iirc, upsized versions of game scenes. You know how VN authors often post a large wallpaper for the month on their Patreon? This is effectively this game's version of that.

Is there no longer a minimum number of days you have to teach per month to be a professor at the academy?

Haven't played this in a while and couldn't find this in the wiki or patch notes for some reason, but the game is no longer telling me about it and there's no count for it that I could find either.

Hear ye, hear ye!!!

Patch is still working, I tested it myself (not excessively though). So, if you want it, DM your best "family friendly" hustler.

Pretty sure that got removed awhile ago since it basically forced you to teach every day forever or get hit with penalties. I only bother to do any teaching to reach the minimum required to recruit that new girl with the funky name (Seve or something).

I'm having a little trouble with higher-level combat. I cleared most of the arena with coilguns and duraplate, but going up against 'elite guards' in Averil's personal quest, my MC is doing fine, but my followers are going down in like two attacks each.

What can I do to make my people tougher? Is there some stat that i'm neglecting that manages max hp or damage resistance or something?
I'm mostly focused on training ranged combat, for now.
